Way back this year, Nintendo released a free-to-play game called Pokémon Shuffle on the 3ds. Since then, it's grown and expanded, with its micro-transactions to 4.5 million downloads on its 3ds port.

We all knew this was coming, and many fans argue that this should have been the first place Pokémon should have put this free-to-play game. The first sign was the trailer for IOS, which first appeared on YouTube at the beginning of summer, and the second sign of localization, when the phone port of the game was released in Japan around a week ago.

For apple smart-phone users, Pokémon Shuffle is finally here to download in the US and the UK! This free-to play game has the same mechanics, just like in the 3ds port of the game, but no events as of yet have been released for this game, unlike the billion events that happen daily in the 3ds port.

As of now, the game has 37 ratings, with most of them being 4-5 stars. For Android smart phones and other countries that are not part of the "world-wide release" there is no word yet, but there should be word in due time. [X]

How do you feel about Pokémon Shuffle coming to your phones? Will you download it? For Shufflers on the 3ds, which version do you think you'll prefer?

Awwww, I was hoping for a simultaneous release for iOS and Android devices. :(
I was kinda looking forward to it since I don't have a 3DS, but this review left me kinda "ehhh" about it.
I hate games that make you wait before continuing onto more levels.
I (somewhat) understand (but still disagree) when it happens when you're out of lives, but when you win? It's like you don't want the player to even feel accomplished after going on a winning streak.

I'll probably still download it when it comes out for Android, but I certainly be putting any money towards buying coins. :P

I've downloaded it and have played it for a few days now. I'd say it's an alright game to while away your time, although I'm not too fond either of losing lives even if you win. It's also rather difficult to capture certain Pokémon without spending coins as you're only provided with a limited amount of moves and low-ish chances of successful captures with ordinary Poke Balls. To increase your chances, you have to purchase better balls with coins when prompted. However, the gameplay is quite good imo and keeps me entertained.

Just want to report it released on Android last night--I have it on my Samsung Galaxy.
