Hello Valorians. My name is Iridescent Isabelle and this is my first ever coverage of a stream. Because I've severely underestimated the length of a stream and the amount of work that goes into making a good coverage, I'll only be doing the section on Pokémon Sun and Moon.

Welcome to Alola. We start with the protagonists! Because the game is set in a tropical climate, they're dressed more lightly than the protagonists in other regions. Also, a mention was made of character customization.
Then there's Professor Kukui and his assistant. The assistant is apparently not a Pokémon trainer but will play a big role in the game.
    The rival is called Hau.

Then a bit more about the region. Alola has four islands, and each island has its own guardian Pokémon. One thing that was emphasised often was that this new region is 'bursting with life'. The names Sun and Moon were chosen because the sun is the source of all life on this planet and the moon affects us all, as well. They wanted to make the region teeming with life, and that's why these names were chosen.

Then the Pokémon themselves. The starters are made in such a way that anyone, from any culture, should be able to relate to them and understand them. Their movements, both in and out of battle, are cute.
Sungaleo, a Psychic Steel type, and Lunala, a Psychic Ghost type, are, according to the legend in the game, the emissaries of the sun and moon respectively, and they tie into the story in a unique way that they have never done before with Legendaries in the games.
Some new Pokémon have been spotted. There's Yungoose and Pikipek, for example.
Zygarde also has some new forms.

Gameplay next. A new feature is that, when a trainer wants to battle and your character can see that person, these shadows around the edge of the upper screen appear. When you do meet them in battle, this is how it looks. The trainer is always visible behind their Pokémon, giving a good perspective and size comparison. The place where you fight matters as well. If you fight in town, it might look like this. People will stand around the battlefield to watch.
If you forget which stats are lowered or raised, you can check that now. Also, if you've battled a Pokémon before, it will now be shown whether moves are super effective or not very effective.

When you capture a Pokémon, aside from your Pokémon gaining experience, the Pokédex has something new. Here you can see a white Pokéball. This icon shows that there's an accompanying entry, such as an evolution. It is supposed to encourage players to catch them all and fill the Pokédex. Also, the entire Pokédex changed. It's now called the Rotom Pokedex. Rotom now inhabits your Pokédex and helps you with information. It can also tell you where to go next on your adventure.

Fans of multiplayer battles might love this. Introducing Battle Royal! This four-way battle is unlike anything you've done before. Instead of paying attention to one opponent, you now have to keep your eyes on three. It's designed in such a way that the winner is determined on whoever has most Pokémon left and who defeated most Pokémon.

That's all I've been able to do for tonight. I've got a migraine and will need to lay down now.

    Love,

    Iridescent Isabelle.

Holy crap, that is a detailed, wonderful write up! All the pictures really add to what you're writing, and I think you've hit on all the important points very well. I'm really impressed with the effort you put into this, even with a migraine! You deserve a rest.

I love how you pitched it partly as an enthusiastic post and partly informative, it's great!

    yungoos evolution confirmed?

in all seriousness, the new stuff that got announced is pretty cool to me. i love yungoos for various reasons, such as its abilities both being pretty cool (stakeout in particular seems like it's going to be a huge deal if it's given to good Pokémon, which may (i hope) or may not include yungoos' evolution(s) as pictured above), its weirdly charming and cute design, the fact i can relate to its constant state of "hanger", and how straight-up gangsta its name sounds. whether it's good or not i'm probably gonna use it on my in-game team, or at least i want to at this moment in time.

pretty indifferent to the bird and bug, but the former has a nice design (the fact it looks a bit like the staraptor line stood out to me when i first seen it, but that's by no means a bad thing) and skill link, so it could be pretty good if it gets good moves to abuse it with, and the bug is still pretty cute and i hope it has potential to be a good battler. the battle royale mode is pretty cool, even though i don't have much interest in it, i know a lot of people have been wanting something like it (my initial reaction to it was that hoodlumscrafty would be very pleased, and i was right) so it's great that it's in, and i could definitely see myself having some fun with it somewhere down the line.

also, i kind of hope popplio doesn't become a fairy-type like some people are saying simply because i want to have mr. mime (presuming it's an option in-game, which it MIGHT not be but i hope it will) on my team as well as popplio, out of wanting two circus 'mons and my desperate hope for mr. mime getting either an evolution (which i severely doubt will happen unfortunately) or mega evolution (which i also don't feel confident about the chances of but could still happen). but eh, it might not be, i'm pretty sure the only supposed evidence as of now is it getting disarming voice, but a ton of Pokémon get fairy moves, especially weak early game ones.

Thakns for the informative post @[member="Iridescent Isabelle"]! You did really well. Andthere goes my convictions on not lining up outside EB Games until it was released... IT LOOKS SOO FREAKIN AWESOME!!! I think that I need a new 3DS though... The old versions are gonna have trouble running this! Maybe...

Let me address a few funny things I thought/asked.

Solgaleo has "Full Metal Body" as an ability? Either someone is a gun-nut, or an anime fan... :D Not really.

    What are the shadows for?

Battle Royale? It's time that we got a new battle style!

God I want this game already.

Luluana looks like a giant vampiric plate...

What am I doing with my life??

    :D :D

When you approach someone, your character looks at them. If those shadows appear, it means the person your character is looking at wants to battle you. As soon as you step in their sight, they will challenge you. The shadows are a warning.

    Those shadows...
ARE EXACTLY WHAT I NEED IN MY LIFE!
It's the next best thing to Trainer Repel!
Though... I doubt it'll be that much of a difference, more of a friendly reminder...
    I WANT IT ANYWAY!

The shadow thing is a nice touch, giving us a warning when an npc might challenge you to a battle. I always battle every trainer I see anyways so it doesn't really matter to me, haha. It's great for those who don't like trainer battles, though.

I'm loving the bird designs they have for this region. Why are they so cute?? Pikipek is adorable even its name sounds cute. peeky peck. please be a useful Pokémon so I can have you on my team.

New battle interface, huh? Might take some time getting used to it I bet, but It does look like it would make things a lot easier.

I think the interface of Pokémon battle is far way more decent than previous ones, considering that it give so many details to help trainers with battling, like having info of stat ups and drops, knowing which moves works best for which Pokémon, and the fact that I can see the trainers (even opponents as well) in the Pokémon trainer battle, this really give it a feel of being in real Pokémon battles in some way.
