Hey guys, [member='Aura'] here with your Pokémon Sun and Moon update.

These Pokémon were leaked earlier today, but they have now been official revealed via a video from Pokémon's Official Japanese YouTube channel, which can be viewed here. This seems to be the "July 1st" news update fans were promised, however it was released a day early. (It was still June 30th in Japan at the time of the video's posting)
There were 7 Pokémon revealed to us today, and quite a few interesting ones. The first is Tapukoko, who's typing is confirmed to be Electric/Fairy. For those of you who watched the E3 coverage of Pokémon Sun and Moon, you might remember that they briefly discussed Tapu Koko.
UPDATE: Tapukoko's ability, "Elekimaker" automatically turns the field into Electric Terrain when it's sent into battle.
UPDATE 2: The move Tapukoko used against Slowbro in the video is known as "Nature Fury". All of it's details are currently unknown.

The next Pokémon shown in the video is Charjabug, who's typing was confirmed to be Bug/Electric. Lots of people have said that this is a possible evolution of Grubbin, but that has yet to be confirmed.
UPDATE: Charjabug was confirmed as the evolution for Grubbin.

Next up is Vikavolt, another Bug/Electric type. Since it follows Charjabug in the video and shares the Electric/Bug typing, there's a possibility that Charjabug evolves into Vikavolt.

Now we have Drampa, whose typing was confirmed as Dragon/Normal. It's pretty large, so it's possible that Drampa is either a final stage or never evolves.
Update: Drampa's ability is "Frenzy", a new ability which increases Special Attack. It is unknown how it is activated.

After Drampa, we have Bruxish, a Water/Psychic type. It seems to have an ability that negates priority moves.
UPDATE: Bruxish's ability is called "Dazzle", and it is confirmed to prevent priority moves for hitting.

Nearing the end of our list, we have Cutiefly, who is a Bug/Fairy type. It's typing was seemingly revealed in the leaked videos, as it was seen using Fairy Wind.

Finally, we have what seems to be the Alolan Pika-clone, Togedemaru. It's an Electric/Steel type, and it has bits of fur that stick out in it's animation.
    UPDATE: Togedemaru's ability is Lighningrod

The video also showed footage of Zygarde 50% transforming into Zygarde Complete, as well as it's official artwork. The artwork we were previously given is the one used in the anime.

That was it for this video! I'll update this post with more in-depth details as translations come, as well as replace the low-quality screenshots with the official artwork once the Japanese site updates. The Official Japanese Pokémon Sun and Moon website can be visited here.

Well, that's it for this update! This is [member='Aura'], signing out!

I'm really liking all these new Pokémon! They all have their own unique charm, and their designs are fluid and interesting. I guess I'll go down the line and say my thoughts about all of them.
    • Drampa is really neat, especially for a unique typing. Its design is pretty cute, and its ability seems interesting. It's definitely different from a lot of the dragons we've gotten in the past, so it's a nice change of pace.
    • I don't have many thoughts about Togedemaru, its design is pretty plain, but it's cute, at least! I hope it gets a more porcupine-like evolution, I hope it doesn't get the same treatment as the other regional electric mice.
    • Charjabug is basically a square bug, which is hilarious. I absolutely love the design of Vikavolt, though- Galvantula was an awesome Electric Bug, so it's nice to get more more bugs to add to my bug Pokémon collection. I'm especially happy because since it's the evolution of Grubbin, it's possible it's a relatively early-game 'mon, which means I'll be able to raise one for my team somewhat early on in the game!
    • Bruxish is terrifying. I like its design, but it mouth just creeps me out, haha. Its ability is insanely good, as well- I don't play competitively, but I'm sure that ability will be killer in competitive play.
    • Cutiefly has to be one of my favorites. We actually have a bee fly Pokémon! I never thought we would actually get one. I love bee flies, they're so adorable, and Cutiefly definitely lives up to their cute standard. I mean, look how cute bee flies are irl. I need a Cutiefly on my team, I don't care if it doesn't evolve. Also, Bug/Fairy type hells yeah
    • I'm incredibly impressed with Tapu Koko's design. The colors and overall design are incredibly unique, and I love how it looks like a stylized chicken-tiki when its 'wings' are closed! Definitely suits the Hawaiian theme of the game. It's very possible that this is a legendary Pokémon, as in the gameplay shown at E3, Tapu Koko was mentioned as a guardian of one of the islands. It's possible we're going to get a legendary Trio or Quartet, with three or four Pokémon looking after each of the main islands.
That's about all my views on the Pokémon themselves! I gotta say, though, the attack animations shown so far look so smooth and incredible. Definitely a huge improvement from the last generation, where they were already amazing.

Frenzy seems to be activated through Super Effective Move hits, to my analysis

Wow, I really, really love all of the new Pokémon! Especially Drampa, Tapu Koko and Bruxish!

Grubbin's evolutionary line are really awesome as well - they really are unique and I love the secondary typing for the main bug (I think) of the region. There were a lot of electric types revealed at once though, so maybe we won't see as many in the future.

Rockruff and Komala had their English names revealed too, and I really like them! I'm so happy that there is a Koala Pokémon! Though it does kind of eliminate the possibility of an Australian based region...

Well, so far, I am liking the new Pokémon! I have high hopes for Sun and Moon!

As silly as Busmon(Charjabug) is, I really like the Grubbin line overall, with a typing shared only by the Joltik line. It looks cute in the first stage, awesome in the final, and I expect to use that Pokémon a lot.

Drampa, aka Old Snoop Dragon, has this rugged but calm and tough yet dopey look that I instantly fell in love with. It's a really cool Pokémon, and Frenzy interests me as an ability. Can't wait for more info.

Cutiefly is an interesting addition to the Fairy types, and sports a completely unique typing to boot. I'm going to keep my eye on it.

Tapu Koko joins Granbull in the extremely small group of "badass-looking fairy types". Do we think it's a legendary? It seems to have a large amount of story relevance, so I feel it's either legendary, or going to try to be this gen's Lucario. Either way, looking forward to seeing more of it.

Togedemaru is another Pikaclone, but it has a cool type only shared by the Magnemite line IIRC. I don't really care about him, but I certainly don't hate him.

    Then there's...
    ...
...Bruxfish. That is easily the ugliest Pokémon I have ever seen.

IT LOOKS SO BAD. It's design has two many colors fighting for dominance, disrupting any central design themes and giving it almost a disfigured look despite the obvious patterns. The eyes feel out of place entirely, the ability is horrifying overpowered for competitive play, the typing is nothing special...

AND IT'S MOUTH! That given me nightmares for days! (not literally, but still)
