Article MOTM Interview - August 2016

Hello Valorians, [member='Aura'] here with this month's Member of the Month interview! This month I had the pleasure of interviewing the lovely [member='Cadbberry'], who was chosen as the Member of the Month for August of 2016! My questions will match the text colour you see here, while [member='Cadbberry']'s answers will be in this colour.


Let's start with an easy one; who are you?
I am [member=Cadbberry'], some weird girl who is finding her place. I like to chat with others, draw and stream. In the end, I am a girl who tries to be good at things but is just one big mess of ideas trying to become something more.


So you like drawing? Can you explain your preferred style and what you like drawing?
I prefer a more anime style, not chibi styled but an anime look to a drawing. Realistic is nice too but not my favorite to draw nor look at. I enjoy drawing the big eyed and more out of proportion people, lets me cover up for my mistakes easier. I really like to draw women or girls, I find the female body simple and easy to sketch out and draw compared to the male muscles.


How did you find out about Lake Valor?
Well I have had my account since May 2014 and I never used it, I think it was around the time I was looking for the Global Trade Station Forums, I just looked up Pokémon forums GTS and up popped the trading section of this forum. So I made an account and never got the chance to use it since the trade I wanted was completed on another website. After that I kinda forgot about this account until 2016 Smash Camp, I remembered the forums and was convinced to rejoin the website and here I am.

Do you enjoy the role you play in Lake Valor?
Well, I don't have much of a role, my role is to post and enjoy, and I can say I am having a great time posting! So for sure I enjoy my role on Lake Valor! I hope to have a bigger role but no matter where I stand I will enjoy where I am on Lake Valor.


Since you've now recently become a Social Crew member, congratulations by the way, are you enjoying this new position?
Well thank you to start, and I am enjoying my position. Some details are getting worked out still but I am enjoying getting to put together my plan for the Deviant Art group and how I want to run it. I also am enjoyed the name glow and Luxury Ball since they look so nice together, it makes me feel all special. Overall, I am enjoying the promotion and I am very excited to put my plans into action.


Do you enjoy being a part of the Lake Valor community?
I love being a part of this community, it is fun and welcoming. I went from being from a place that was really awful for me and came here, some place that made me feel amazing and like I belonged. I enjoy being here and I love Lake Valor a lot and it is only my first month back!

How did you react when you found out you had won Member of the Month?
I was completely shocked and stunned, I just stared at the screen. I had been back here for such a little time and now I was the member of the month, caught me off guard completely. I felt of a mix of emotions from pride to unsurety, I was so proud to have made it there but just so unsure if I was the right choice. For it to also be the month of my birthday also had me a bit excited. Overall I was just stunned to see my name at the bottom of the screen as August's member of the month.
