Hey guys, [member='Aura'] here with your latest Pokémon Sun and Moon news, this time covering the video released on September 6th at 10 pm JST!

The trailer starts with in-game footage of Solgaleo and Lunala, and then what appears to be a totem battle, with Yungoos replacing Solgaleo on the left and Alolan Raticate replacing Lunala on the right. Yes, that's right, ALOLAN RATICATE. We then get some footage of the first island. On the Sun footage, everything is set in a sunset, while the Moon footage shows it to be cast in moonlight. There's then a brief clip of trainers walking on a route into some tall grass and encountering a Pokémon; Drifloon for the Sun footage and Misdreavus for the Moon footage.

It then cuts to a full-screen of in-game footage where Professor Kukui is talking to the male protagonist as the scenery changes from day, to sunset, and finally to night. Then it cuts to more overworld exploration featuring a nice-looking rainbow (replaced by shooing stars at night) and a dock of some sort, adorned with boats in the shape of various aquatic Pokémon, like Magikarp, Wailord and Whiscash. More footage of the overworld is shown, but we've moved onto a different island than Melemele (the only known island so far), featuring many Japanese-style streets and buildings.

What we see next is something called "Pokefinder", and shows the player talking to their Rotom Pokédex. From the Rotom Pokédex, the player can take pictures of wild Pokémon, as shown with a Pikachu, Lillipup and Eevee, Oricorio and Cutiefly, and a far-off Dragonite.

Next up is something called "Eteru (something) Team", and shows a group of NPCs in all-white uniforms in a very clean-looking building, presumably from the small man-made island in the centre of the Alolan region. These people don't seem hostile, as they can be seen interacting happily with the player. An important-looking character is shown with the name ???, but it is then revealed that his name is "Zaoba". This man appears to be some type of head researcher. Another important-looking character pops up, a woman named "Bikke". Like Zaoba, she also looks like some type of head researcher. One final character is shown, a young girl named "Ruzamiine", and it's important to note that she looks quite similar to Kukui's assistant, Lillie, only older and, unlike the other two characters revealed, doesn't seem to be friendly towards the players and rival.

After this, Zygarde is discussed, and we are introduced to two very familiar characters; Dexio and Shina, Professor Sycamore's assistants from Pokémon X and Y! In this game, they're wearing vacation-style clothing and look a bit older than their last appearance. They give the player an item called the "Zygarde Cube", and then the video cuts to footage of the player finding a Zygarde Cell in the overworld.

Next is an introduction to a new member of Team Skull, "Gurajio". Unlike the other two known admins, he doesn't seem to have a tattoo of Team Skull's logo on his person, but his mannerisms while speaking are kind of similar to Plumeria's, from what we've seen of her so far. He also has a currently unannounced Pokémon with him; "Type: Muru", a Normal type Pokémon. It looks like a cross between a dog, a knight, a fish and a chicken, if I'm being completely honest here.

Finally, we get to the familiar "New Pokémon" sequence. First up is an official video reveal of Sandyghast, Palossand, Stufful, Turtonator and Crabrawler. After all of this, we get our first new Pokémon; "Jauko", a Dragon type Pokémon. It's a small, quadruped with a grey body and black underside, and yellow features, including a giant yellow "heart" adorning it's forehead.

After that is the "Region Form" sequence, which details new Alola Form Pokémon. Alolan Ratatta is shown evolving into Alolan Raticate, which was shown right at the beginning of the video. Alolan Raticate is a Dark/Normal type, much like it's pre-evolution, and is a black Raticate with extremely chubby cheeks.

Finally, something called "Ultra Beast" is revealed, showing the player, Hau and Ruzamiine (the young girl revealed earlier), standing in front of a blinding light, before some strange creature appears. It's also worth noting that this creature, which looks like some sort of jellyfish, looks EXACTLY LIKE LILLIE. After that, the video ends.

And that's it for this announcement! Feel free to discuss in the comments and, as always, this is [member='Aura'] signing out until next time!

I can give US and UK names and give some more detail about the information from the UK video on Pokémon's official Youtube channel.

Type: Muru is Type: Null in the US and UK and has the ability Battle Armor
Jakuo is Jangmo-o in US and UK and has the abilities Soundproof and Bulletproof
The Ultra Beast is UB-01 according to the video.
Alolan Raticate's abilities are Gluttony and Hustle
Eteru (something) Team is the Aether Foundation and like to protect Pokémon
Team Skull's Enforcer is Gladion aka Gurajio.
Very briefly you can see a Pokémon that looks very similar to Cutiefly.

I'm really curious about the ultra beasts, I'm wondering if they're manmade or some ancient Pokémon awaken or something. I really like Alola Raticate I might just need one on my team. I'm just glad they're not going reveal crazy like with ORAS.

I just saw the video, and UB-01's resemblance to Lillie is just insane. It's going to drive me crazy.
I must find out more about Ultra Beasts and Where to Find The- (is tackled)

The Aether Foundation is the most interest thing i have seen, first time we see something that is not an evil organization.
UB-01 is definitely very interesting, it's not a Pokémon it seems or human.

Jangmo-o is definitely the Pseudo-legendary Pokémon in Alola, and its very cute ^o^!

I personally think the Aether Foundation is a bit sketchy, I wouldn't be surprised if they're the true foes.

Ultra beasts are interesting, I wonder how a battle goes down against something that isn't a Pokémon? Moves and type effectiveness wise, also assuming you battle them.
And what's up with the Aether foundation? How the hell do you make an island?

Tbh I don't think you'll get to battle the Ultra Beasts in the game since they're not. It seems more likely to me they'll play some part in the story...

If you do get to battle them, this wouldn't be the first time you battle against something that isn't inherently a Pokémon. Pokémon BW2 had PokeStar studios, where you could battle against a green-screen, and there have been non-Pokémon enemies in spin-off games, like Dark Rust from Pokémon Rumble Blast, Bittercold from Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Gates to Infinity, and Dark matter from Pokémon Super Mystery Dungeon.

I am really looking forward to Pokémon Sun and Moon! This new trailer just makes me wish it came out next month and not November. What I love the most are the Pokémon and the landscape. I love their names! Wishiwashi, Oricorio, Jangmo-o.... The volcanic landscape and matching towns are beautiful - breaking the conventions of Pokémon! The 12 hour time difference 'shakes things up' and allows the experience to be even more unique from the different versions, and while I'm playing Sun version, I can just look to my sister's screen and see the night sky during the day. Generation 7 is shaping up to be amazing!
Also, there was Sina and Dexio from X and Y! Who else noticed them?

Oh yeah! Ha ha, sorry about that Aura.

Anyway, I do like how these two are incorporated in Sun and Moon, because I felt like they needed more spotlight. They were sort of mysterious in X and Y, and I really wanted to see a backstory. Perhaps it will all be revealed on the 18th of November.

In X and Y, they took the role of Professor Sycamore's assistants, who introduced the player to Fairy-types, as well as upgraded the Pokédex every time the player moved to a new part of Kalos. They also played the roles of "The Masked Heroes of Kalos", although they weren't seen doing much as them, apart from providing the player with expensive healing items.

    However, from what we've seen in Pokémon Sun and Moon, they're much more connected to Zygarde, which makes sense since they're from Kalos. They give the player a "Zygarde Cube", which allows them to collect Zygarde Cells they find in the overworld, and the cube is supposed to emit some sort of strange light once it's filled with Zygarde Cells. This seems to match up with a leak that stated;

"On a hidden in Alola, there is a cave that leads to a train station. An NPC there will inform you of the train station, however you cannot traverse through the cave since it is too dark, and no Pokémon in your party will be able to light it up."

    This seems to suggest that this item, the Zygarde Cube, will light up the cave and allow the player to get to the train station. Some links that can be made between this are;

    • Zygarde lives in Terminus Cave, a cave in Kalos, so this cave may be where they player can catch Zygarde in Alola, giving the player access to it's new ability that allows it to transform into Complete Zygarde Form.
    • In the town after Terminus cave, there is a train station that leads to seemingly no-where. It's possible that this train station and the train station mentioned in the leak are connected, although I'm highly certain Zygarde does not catch the train to travel to Alola.
    • Since the Zygarde Cube is an item, it fills the role of "no Pokémon in your party", and since the Zygarde Cube is said to emit more light as you collect more Cells, it's possible that collecting all the Zygarde Cells will unlock this cave.
Remember that this is just my speculation of a leak that may or may not be real. The credibility for this leak is 50-50, since they correctly informed that Ratatta and Raticate will have Dark typing in their Alolan Forms, as well as Marowak being part Fire-type in its Alolan Form, making the leak credible so far. However, they've also informed that something called "Rainbow Greninja" was supposed to be revealed some time in August, and since we never received anything like that, this makes the leak contain false information. With this mixture of fact and fiction, it's hard to tell whether we can trust everything in the leak.
