Sun and Moon Demo Data Mine Information MASSIVE SPOILERS!

Ash's Pikachu looks so cute! Probably won't have one in my party, but it'll still be cool to have.

 

I just discovered the spoilers and leaks and I have to say I am surprised by this. I am loving the final evolutions of the starters, especially the owl. The internet predicted Popplios final evolution for I have seen many artwork of him. The cat though..another fighting/fire type? ugh. They could have done some thing different. Liking the Ash Pikachu, he's too cute.

 

It's pretty interesting seeing these leaks. I'm not sure if the info is entirely accurate due to it being mined from a demo but hey, maybe it is the final thing! Either way I'm not entirely disappointed or impressed or anything, I'm just curious to see how this unfolds. One cool thing I noted was that Salandit got an evo which is pretty neat I must say! I'mm excited to see how it fares in comparison to the rest (the corrosion thing is already super cool so I have good hopes for this one)

I'm also really loving the Ultra Beasts. They're very... Unique is the right word I think haha. Either way they're very notably standout and just personally I find myself being a big fan of the designs.

... Though I have some words to say to those Dugtrio about their hair. And as for Persian, you gotta ask how many Beedrills stung that poor creature ;-;

I can totally get the rage at Litten's final evo though. Fire/Fighting has been done so much, even I'm a lil bored of it (and I'm a casual player too). I have little doubt that keeping it quadrupedal and non-fighting would've been a much more wiser choice.

Either way I'm kinda hyped! Especially for Popplio's final evo <3

 

To be frank, I'm not disappointed in any of the Pokémon revealed, but I am disappointed by how many don't gain evolutions, and by the once again small number of Pokémon introduced (unless you count Alolan forms, which does boost the number quite a bit). I'm not surprised that the Chinese leaks were proven true, and I'm glad they were because I liked those designs. Also, for whoever's freaking out over the Fire/Fighting final starter, nothing has been shown that proves it's a Fire/Fighting type, so stop freaking out.

After seeing everything, I still can't fill those last 2 slots in my team, but those HAT PIKAS GOODNESS ME I NEED ALL OF THEM THE ONE EAR THAT FLOPS IS ADORABLE AAAAAAAAAH

 

I completely relate here. I'm disappointed that the generation doesn't offer the numerous amount of new Pokémon I was hoping--I figured the island theme, due to a lot of biodiversity in real life, would have bode better for a generation that had a ton of new Pokémon. I'm very interested in the possibility of legendary evolution, though I'm not too sure about how it'll be executed. they're friggen adorable though

I'm having mixed feelings about the Ultra Beasts. They don't feel/look like "Pokémon," though I do remember seeing on the Serebii forums that this generation may allow for dimensional influence--again unsure how I feel about this.

The four island deities seem pretty interesting though--almost another take similar to the lake trio of Sinnoh we all know and love

 

Nothing in this leak displeases much. Though I'm aware that more than what was in the OP of this thread was leaked, I'm not going to go and seek that out, I still want some surprises.

Alolan Dugtrio is hilarious with its wig things, it reminds me of that old pop group with the three blonde brothers who sang that ridiculous "Mmmbop" song. I predict a Ground/Grass typing for them, the "wigs" and little tuft on Diglett being roots. I like the designs of the Alolan Geodude line but I hope they aren't part Dark, we already have six Alolan forms being given Dark typing, three more would be overkill.

I am torn on the Ultra Beasts. On the one hand I love the designs some of them look like mobile suits but on the other hand I am not fond of the idea of having non-Pokémon monsters to fight against in a Pokémon game. When there's a monster in a Pokémon game I want to be able to catalog it and capture and maybe use it for myself. I don't want to just destroy some mysterious monster threat from another dimension in Pokémon. But it's early days yet and these concerns might just prove to be unfounded..or through presentation they may just grow on me enough that I don't care. Who can say?

 

I'm just gonna talk about what I found most remarkable in the leaks in a spoiler.

Generally speaking, I hope everything that was in the demo is revealed by the time the games are released, otherwise I'll feel a little bad for looking. Anyway:

I was really disappointed with Alolan Persian to start with, but I've warmed up with it as it looks quite cute in its art. It reminds me of a fat-faced Russian Blue or British Shorthair.



I didn't expect Crabrawler to evolve. I preferred the original, but Pokémon with funny expressions like this one tend to be the ones I get most attached to.




I know of arthropods that use air bubbles to breathe underwater. I hope these are bugs. They remind me of divers as well as exploration robots.
