Hey, everyone! This is [member='AzurAurora'] with another interview. This month I have had the pleasure to continue the Prominent Member Interview with another member that means much to Lake Valor. This time's chosen Valorian is [member='Azure'] (formerly known as AzureEdge)!

Azure has been an important member of Lake Valor during the time she has been part of our community, about a year and a half now. Once part of the Writers team and a respected mod of five different (sub)forums, she now enjoys the simple life as a normal member of Lake Valor and a well-seen, and very welcome, face in the Q&A forum.

Questions asked by me, the interviewer, will be in my normal color.
Questions answered by Azure, the interviewee, will be in this color.

    ..................................................................................................................................
Let's get rolling with this interview and get to know you a little better. What is your name and who are you?

Yo! The name's Azure (and the last name is Edge.) I'm from NYC and I am working towards a boring job for the rest of my life (aka the legal field of life), and somewhat try to make it enjoyable!~

You are pursuing a career in the harsh world that is the legal field. Knowing what I know, it is a very hard path to stay on and succeed in. How do you do it and what type of law do you wish to specialize in?

Okay, it's a common misconception that law or any law field is hard, but honestly, as long as you know what you're doing (which I probably don't lmao), you'll be fine. I personally sacrifice countless hours studying and writing papers all the time, but I'm fine because I'm actually interested in the field and not for the money. Of course, I haven't decided what I want to be as of yet, but it'll probably be somewhere in the legal field, but it doesn't have to be a lawyer whatsoever (although international law seems really intriguing lately, rather than civil law), which is another misconception that many people have as well. There are a lot of other jobs that pay the similarly as a lawyer~ (which you don't sell your soul for lmao)

That is a lot of dedication you put into your studies, not to mention good advice (remember people, deals with strange people for your soul are a no-no, even if you get a good deal). If you could use 3 to 5 adjectives to describe yourself, what would they be?

I would consider myself benevolent, industrious, accomplished, supercalifragilisticexpialidocious (Mainly because of Mary Poppins), and occupied.

That has to be the first time I have ever heard someone describe themselves as supercalifra... I can't even spell it correctly. What made you choose that word to describe yourself? Do you like Mary Poppins?

Haha, I'm personally not the best at describing myself, but I often use that to get their attention in a conversation and see if they have something similar, among the many things that we probably do have in common. I adore Marry Poppins to bits, and it has to be one of my favorites of all time.

Mary Poppins is a good movie, I have to agree on that. Another thing you must like is Lake Valor, or you wouldn't be here so often. What made you come to Lake Valor? And maybe more importantly, what made you stay here?

I was originally invited in the August of 2014, by the lovely [member='Astrology'] in a message from fanfiction.net, but I initially declined and said that I would join if I had time, which I had none off at the time, or something similar to that (And still don't have now lol). I eventually forgot about the invitation until early March 2015, and of course, I felt weird accepting the invitation so late, but once I initially signed up, I was pretty much here to stay.

You have been around for a long time now. What is your favorite part of this Lake? And might I inquire why it is your favorite part?

Honestly, besides the people who are around this lake from different parts of the globe, it has to be the Q&A. I'm a very curious person, and I love questions, and I love answering them! I personally love to look things in another perspective besides my own and I love getting to know everyone better as a person!

You have been the Member of the Month in the past. If I did my research correctly that was in June 2015. What did it feel like, becoming the MOTM?

It was super cute! I really didn't expect it at all, as there were a bunch of members who have been here for ages, and I honestly thought that because of their familiarity and presence in the community that they'd win, you know? I remember hopping into showdown on the first day of the month and everyone congratulating me on it and I couldn't help to smile and be really happy that entire month~

That must have been a great experience to have had! Continuing on the road of happy memories, what is the fondest memory you have of Lake Valor?

When I got married to Ben ([member='Achromatic']) when I first joined; that was pretty hilarious, and really made me stay. I had no prior experience with dating at that point, so it was really cute! (Not that I'm good at dating anyways lol) I think I still have the chat saved from that conversation, way back on Showdown, somewhere. lol

Besides that, I think that every day is a new memory, and with these dank memes that the Lake has, every day here means a lot to me.

Is there anyone (inside or outside of the forum) that you greatly admire?

I actually don't admire many people. In fact, I'm usually the role model to many people.
If I had to choose someone outside of LV (Because I really wouldn't know who to pick here in LV~), I would have to choose my grandfather. He's beyond humble and hardworking (and accomplished, of course), and now I'm somewhat walking in his footsteps because I want to be just like him in a career aspect, and also in life. He's intrigued that I picked the same career path as him and often asks how the career has shifted in general. He's such a great person who means a lot to me.

Earlier you were asked to describe yourself, but how do you think another person would describe you? For example, how would a writer describe you in his or her novel?

I personally don't believe I'm very good at describing myself, so I'll leave it to the writer.
But, I was described in a newspaper a while ago as a preppy weeaboo. I'm not exactly quoting it in its entirety, but it was hilarious when my friends started to ask how the journalist found out I was a weeb. (It was a weird/somewhat sarcastic article anyways, and considering that this newspaper often doesn't write about living weebs, y'know? So it was rather shocking they actually wrote that, but I laughed it off eventually.)

I can hardly believe that you were once featured in a newspaper? That is amazing. May I ask why you were called a Weeaboo in a newspaper?

I've been featured in many, it's not just this one, but this one strikes out because basically, the journalist called me a weeb just because I was wearing an anime sweater and a really preppy outfit altogether (He even called me back to ask to confirm if I was wearing an anime sweater).

Alright, those were all the questions I had for you. Thank you so much for agreeing to do the interview with me. Do you have any last remarks for the lovely peeps?

If there were more than 24 hours in a day to hang out with you all, I definitely would spend way more time than I am right now. LV is such an amazing place, and the people here make LV the way it is!~

    Keep meming my friends.

    ..................................................................................................................................
And this concludes another Prominent Member Interview. I thank you on behalf of the Writers team for agreeing to take time out your probably very busy schedule. Best wishes to all Valorians!

This was [member='AzurAurora']. See you all next time!

This may seem like such a small thing - and it probably is - but watching each answer segue smoothly into the next question, even the ones that weren't follow-ups, really stood out to me. I was expecting a follow-up to a follow-up question when it started with "Mary Poppins is a good movie" and then noticing it wasn't a question about Mary Poppins. It's like I got baited and didn't even mind falling for it.

It's small, but it made me smile.
