There are all kinds of lists and clickbait videos about creepy and weird things children have said, but are there any things said by kids you know or have known personally in your own lives that are just odd or creepy? My younger sister when she was very young, not long after learning to talk, once excitedly told my grandmother during a visit we had that "aliums lives in de backyards and deys gots glass heads". Many years later her daughter around the same age talked to me about seeing "black circle tings dats haves little balls inside of dems that come in my room n makes noises n makes me scared when the tv goes off for bedtime". I find it hard to remember how my head worked as a small child, but my mother tells me that there was a period where I would constantly talk and ask questions about death and dying before ever really having to face it or deal with it in life. Maybe it was from all the dinosaur tapes I'd watch and books I'd look at about them dying out? I don't know. I certainly can't remember these conversations myself. Children are interesting innocent things...but sometimes they bring up and say some weird shit. Any examples you got? It's a topic I like.
My little cousin used to talk about his 20 girlfriends back home when he would visit, then insist on calling them all. He just liked to show off how he was a bad boy who could do what he wanted. He was only 11...
('you got any games on your phone' starter pack) I was thinking more creepy stuff originally but in general, well one time some kid who was maybe 12 yelled that someone and I were goosebags, I think be meant douchebags but really didn't know what was even talking about. Or mabye it was something about geese hell who knows it was a hick kid from the woods and things get greasy.
I was looking after my cousin's three kids for the afternoon. My default thing for keeping kids occupied is breaking out pens and paper and getting them drawing, so they were all scribbling away happily. The youngest was just at the age where he was learning to talk, so most of what he said was too garbled to understand, but there was the odd recognisable phrase in there. He was showing me a picture he'd drawn, and explaining it to me - the picture was just scribbles, really, and I didn't know what he was saying, but I was playing along, as he pointed to stuff on the page and told me what they were supposed to be. Then he pointed to this big, scrawled black circle in the middle of the page, and said: "...AND THAT'S A MOUTH SCREAMING FOR HELP."
Oh, kids. I was helping out in my mother's kindergarten room about a week ago. Near the end of the day, they were getting their coats on, so I put my letterman jacket on as well. The thing is, I have my hair cut short in a pixie cut and the jacket makes me look boyish/tomboyish. So I go to my mother and she's talking to a kid. The kids looks at me and then proceeds to say, "you look like a boy." After a bit of talking and explaining that I am indeed a girl with really short hair and a big jacket about one whole size bigger than me, that same kid calls me a fox. ...what? You're five...
My niece has this stuffed cat named Smokey. She's had it since she was about 2, and she's 6 now. It's pretty roughed up and not so fluffy any more but Smokey is still number one. Well my sister tells me that she keeps asking "Smokey is really old now, is Smokey going to die? When is Smokey going to die she is old?"It's like that mix of sweet and creepy. It was of course explained to her that Smokey is a magical cat that cannot die.
I was walking around campus one day and some kid ran to me and squeezed my wrist before saying, "WHERE'S YOUR PHONE? CAN I SEE YOUR PHONE?" Needless to say, I ran away. Hey! That rhymed!
I've honestly never had a kid say anything weird to me personally, but when I went swimming with dad once a kid called him fat, really upset him.
