ADGQ or Awesome Games Done Quick is back!

I am so pumped up for yet another edition of my favorite speedrun event! We all play games and I watch let's plays a lot, but nothing beats a well-executed speedrun of your favorite game and see it broken beyond repair. Many games will be played from the ever popular Legend of Zelda and Megaman to old Disney games, Resident Evil, Ape Escape 2, and the original Final Fantasy.

But his is not just a speedrun event to watch people slaughter games beyond recognition, it is also a charity stream to collect money for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. Once again this year they are going to be trying to raise 1 million American dollar within a week's worth of time and effort. You can donate during individual runs, sometimes they give away prizes related to the game that is being run, or donate money toward donation incentatives, like: Saving or killing the animals for the Super Metroid run.

I love to watch and see the runners fail, show off amazing tricks and give tips, race against the clock and each other, work together to beat the game, and see the gaming community work towards a better future and better records in speedruns. Old veterans and new runners will appear on the Twitch stream playing and of course commentating for your pleasure. I am personally very interested in the Pokémon Emerald run, the LoZ-runs and the Fire Emblem runs.

Check out the schedule and maybe I will see you around on the streams. If you cannot make it to one of your favorite games, they have a youtube channel where the individual games will be eventually uploaded, so you can still take a look! The schedule will automatically adjust to your time zone, how neat is that?

Oh damn, I always love watching these speedruns on their archive channel, they're super interesting. I don't have a huge game catalogue that I know enough of that speedruns are interesting to watch, but OoT3D, Shovel Knight, Joe & Mac 2 (why not lol), Pokémon Emerald, Ninja Gaiden, as well as all the Mario, Castlevania and Megaman ones... Okay I stopped counting there jk there is a LOT of awesome games being played this year, I'm super hyped! I really hope I'll be able to catch some live this time.

@[member="Astralogy"] It is amazing to actually watch it live, the Twitch chat is amazing as well. Be prepared for some wonderful hours. I sometimes stay up till five in the morning to catch late streams or wake up early for them. BRING UP THE HYPE TRAIN.
