So, recently I was approached by a member of the site who had read this fanfic I am writing on Fanfiction.Net. They recommended to me this site, and said that I could also share the fic here. Upon visiting, I was impressed and decided to join, as well as share the fic here. Word of warning, I made custom names for the protagonists of Sun and Moon, due to me feeling like the names Sun and Moon were boring.

AN: After playing through Pokémon Sun for the first time, I had this prevailing thought that it felt similar to another Pokémon game I had played many times before and would love to see have its story continued so I came up with this idea. Note I am not the best writer so yeah would like some help if possible. Also my keyboard is a little finicky so some words may have typos and I may not notice them. I will be using both the male and female protagonists here so the story won't be quite the same as it was in the games, as for names well that is what improvisation is for.

    Chapter 1

Takes Place right after the end of Pokémon Sun and Moon

Lille felt a wave of sadness as the port grew steadily smaller, she really didn't want to leave.

She had already made so many new friends in such a short time and now was just leaving right when things were at their most hectic, after all if was the first known case of a region having two champions.

Right at the finish of Chaunellea and Emiroy's final confrontation, no one could have predicted that the fight would end in a draw!

Usually regulations would demand a rematch at a later time, but Kukui deciding that Alola was already out of the norm. So they would be the first region to have to more than one champion at a time.

But depart she must, she needed to get stronger so she could not be a burden as well as be able to help her mother, which is why Kanto was her starting point.

Many great trainers came from Kanto and since both of her Cosmogs, now in the form of Solgaleo and Lunala, were traveling with the two champions she would have to start fresh.

Sighing in part sadness and part excitement Lillie prepared herself as she heard the words "Now arriving in Vermillion CIty," her adventure was about to commence.

Little could she have predicted the danger Alola would fall under in her absence.

Somewhere far away on a secluded isle

In a dark lab a figure loomed over one of his employed researchers.

"And you're sure that these "Ultra Beasts" are as powerful as they are told to be?" the figure asked the scientist.

After seeing the frightened man slowly nod the figure spoke once more "Good then it is time to bring some old failures out of retirement. We shall not be stopped this time."

    Chapter 2

    Deep underground

In a dark corner sat 3 individuals dead broke with nothing but the occasional battle to do, all their luck was gone now that new contestants found a way down to where they held their colosseum tourneys.

"Did I ever tell you about the time I knocked out my own Pokémon to avoid it being stolen," asked a very tall and muscular man.

"Only about 50 times a year," a man with a torn lab coat and very worn glasses sneered. "Both of you are so incompetent you defeated yourself, and didn't accept defeat with dignity," the scientist continued.

"If you hadn't noticed you didn't succeed either genius, so don't try and act so high and mighty," the third one chimed in.

As the three continued to argue, they failed to notice the approaching figure until he stood right before them.

"Greetings, I am here with a business proposal for you," the figure calmly spoke to the three bums.

Quickly the three stopped their bickering and turned to face the man, but not in a way that allowed them to see his face.

"It's time to come out from retirement you three, yes I know who you are," came the calm and steady voice from the individual. Upon seeing the shock in the three's eyes the figure continued, "Curious now are you, well your former boss was never the one really in charge. The real boss was a weak old man who gave up, after his failure, I took place as Grandmaster. Now come with me, or would you rather stay where you are?"

Without hesitation, the three who were sitting on the ground stood up, and followed the man out of the colosseum.

    2 Years Later

    Aether Paradise

Lusamine was finally recovering rapidly after her fusion with the Ultra Beast and now had turned the Aether Paradise in to what it was advertised as,a habitat for Pokémon that protected them.

Of course the basement was still there, but there they researched new ways to make more effective Pokéballs to make lives easier for trainers.

It wasn't easy without both of her children but Gladion helped in any way that he could into helping her improve and understand where she went wrong.

Lillie called as well sometimes, she was doing great on her journey already having travelled through Kanto and making a very respectable league challenge, but failed to beat the Champion. She was planning on coming home soon but had a few more things to finish up before she could.

As she was overlooking the Pokémon habitats, a yacht requested to dock. Granting permission, she went to go greet the visitors herself. The visitor in question was a benevolent looking man with blue hair and some gray robes.

"Greetings, I am someone who would like to ask you questions." The kind looking man said with a small bow. "Your name please," Lusamine responded. The man simply smiled and said, "In due time."

Lusamine didn't know what to say or think, so she simply responded by having Wicke go and prepare a table with some refreshments so that she could hopefully answer whatever this man wanted to know. Once the table was ready the two sat down and while Lusamine sipped her drink the man sat in silence not touching anything.

After a few minutes he spoke, "I understand you researched something called the Ultra Beasts here at one time and even found a way to go to their world by opening up an Ultra Wormhole."

Lusamine froze at that declaration, she instantly became much more wary of the man sitting in front of her. "I also understand you caught one of them in something you branded as a beast ball, I would ask you to do this again for me," the now kindly man started to exude a very malevolent aura in the room.

"I know nothing of what you have just spoke of, you must be mistaking," she replied with a slightly shaky voice. The two made eye contact and after what felt like and eternity the man sighed, "I see, my apologies," as he got up from the table.

"Will you do me the honor of seeing me to my ship," asked the man, the menacing aura slowly disappearing. Although Lusamine wanted nothing more than to send this man away as quickly as possible, she agreed to be polite.

Upon entering the dock room she was shocked to see all of her staff being held captive by people in white armored suits and the Pokémon under Aether's protection being captured by those same kind of people.

Lusamine jumped a little as the man put his hand on her shoulder, looking back the menacing aura had returned and now his eyes were hidden by a pair of shades. "I believe I asked you a question earlier, but as I did not answer your own I suppose it was only fair for you not to answer mine. So let me answer your question now, my name is Grandmaster Ardos, and I want to know, where are the Ultra Beasts?"

AN: There ya go the main antagonist for the story is none other than Ardos. If you do not know who he is and are a Pokémon fan, then I feel sorry for you.

    Chapter 3

Just so you know, this has been written up to around 8 or 9 chapters so far, I'm just spacing out my posting.

New Cipher Key Lair — 2 years ago

"Ein, is everything on schedule," barked Ardos as he stormed into the former's lab space to check progress.

"Unfortunately sir we are having trouble recreating the formula used on XD001 that would prevent purification," Ein, now looking much younger and refreshed, replied.

Ardos gave Ein a chilling stare "I don't want XD001's formula, that one was flawed, the child managed to purify it with that purification chamber."

Looking surprised Ein quickly responded,"Very well Grandmaster, a new method shall be devised, although may I make one request?" Ardos motioned for Ein to speak freely.

Turning back to his work Ein continued "It would be a great help to this plan if I had another person who understood how to create shadow Pokémon."

As he was leaving, Ardos simply informed "Not to worry, it has already been taken care of." The next day Ein was introduced the the creator of the original XD001, Lovrina.

Over in the testing grounds Dakim was getting his arm measured while his Pokémon were being prepped for when they would inevitably become shadow Pokémon.

As for Venus, she and Snattle were preparing to deal with the political and legal issues that the new Cipher syndicate will cause in Alola.

After his defeat at the hands of Michael, Ardos was cutting no corners and taking his time.
First off, the shadow Pokémon would be altered so there would be no way to purify known to human, obviously. Next shadow Pokémon will not lose the ability to become stronger, allowing for them to become more of a threat. Thirdly shadow moves will become much stronger with less risk, so Pokémon would have moves like Shadow End that do just as much damage with none dealt back to the user.

There was also one final part to his plan that he was still finalizing due to the lack of information on how to apply it, mainly because of lack of test subjects. To remedy his problem he was planning an attack on the one place that could give him the information he needed, Aether Paradise.

His only issue was Gorigan, or rather the lack of him. After the fall of Cipher, Gorigan fled trying a new path in life after his losses to Michael. Due to this Ardos was short a power player and had to rely solely on Dakim until a replacement could be found.

To Ardos though it was no matter, as in his mind, when he was ready he would only need one person to succeed, him.

    Aether Paradise- Present Day

Lusamine watched as all she had created was torn down, the labs now used for harming the Pokémon she swore to love and protect.

Yes she was a powerful trainer, but that Grandmaster was far more powerful than any foe she ever faced. It was as if his Pokémon were emotionless fighting machines that had no regard for anything, human or Pokémon. Also their attacks would put even the mighty Z-powers to shame, and they showed no signs of exhaustion upon using them.

So here she was a prisoner in her own home waiting for something to happen. As she idly sat, the doors to her room were opened and in walked none other than Grandmaster Ardos himself.

"Good evening, I hope you have rested well Madam," came the sincere sounding voice she had come to hate. "I would rest better if I knew what you had done with my Pokémon," Lusamine spat, resisting the urge to attack him.

"Do not worry, no harm will come to them as long as you cooperate," replied Ardos ignoring the venom in her tone. "Now," he continued, "we know how you captured the Ultra Beasts, the beast ball, and we know they live in a different dimension essentially."

Lusamine sat in silence as he paced around the room while speaking, "the only thing we don't know is how to get there, so I will ask you one more time, how do you create an Ultra Wormhole," he concluded. Lusamine didn't want to answer, but she had seen what this man had done to his own Pokémon, she didn't want hers to end up the same way.

Reluctantly she spoke "Only the legendary Pokémon Solgaleo and Lunala can create Ultra Wormholes."

"There now, was that so hard," Ardos condescended, "Thank you for not being difficult, your Pokémon will be returned shortly. After all they are no harm to any one of my subordinates and it must be awfully lonely in here all by yourself."

As he headed for the door Lusamine pleaded one last time," Don't do this, the Ultra Beasts are something that shouldn't be messed with!" Ardos simply gave her a backwards glance and said "we shall see," before departing.

In The docking bay Dakim was preparing himself for battle, when Ardos walked in. "Dakim you now have your mission, you will travel to Meelemeele island and capture these two Pokémon from these two trainers," informed Ardos, showing Dakim the pictures of his targets.

"Yes Grandmaster, I shall depart immediately. Dakim away," Dakim yelled as he literally leaped to his ship. "I wish he would stop doing that," was the only thought in Ardos' head.

Over in the laboratories Ein and Lovrina were researching whatever data on Ultra Beasts remained, to try and find a way to close their hearts as well. That is until one of the R&D members ran in and simply said "It's done."

At that moment the two had the same feeling of victory as their new way of mass producing shadow Pokémon was finished: The Shadowification Chamber.
