Hello there. My name is GB. Unfortunately that wasn't long enough for the username, but please call me 'GB' anyway. I was referred to this site by a reviewer on my Pokémon fanfic. I haven't seen a forum that's actually alive in such a long time, so this place pleasantly surprised me. I haven't...y'know..."forumed" in such a long time (I used to frequent Neoseeker). I might be a bit rusty... X3 Pokémon stuff, uhh let's see. First and foremost, I am a big fan of the Pokémon World, more than I am the games. I do not do competitive Pokémon at all. You can see this in the following list of Pokémon that I have actually taken through entire games and beaten the Elite Four with: Vulpix, Braixen, Salandit, Alolan Vulpix, Buizel. I play the games to enjoy the world, but don't usually progress very far past the post-game. I just enjoy the fact that there's a whole Pokémon WORLD that has been created. Five of my favourite Pokémon: Snivy (#1 for life), Vulpix, Buizel, Raichu, Fennekin, Ampharos. ...Also every Eeveelution ever. As for the non-Pokémon part of me, I am an avid writer of fanfiction. I usually write My Little Pony stories, but just recently I started a Pokémon fanfic that is ending up being the longest thing I've ever written. I will share it with the Fanfiction forum a bit later. Don't wanna rush things. Onix (GenII), Nidoran Male (GenVI) and Formantis (GenVII) I really hope I didn't do anything wrong I seem to have a bad habit of accidentally doing that when I start out... Anyway, hi!
And here I thought that GB stood for Game Boy. Certainly, one of the more prolific entry posts seen. You certainly do have a lot of passion for the franchise and the worlds it contains, do you not? I can feel the enthusiasm practically oozing from your words. You certainly didn't do anything wrong - you did exactly the write thing, describing yourself and your interests in adequate detail, so as to give an accurate yet holistic picture of yourself, at least the parts that pertain to Pokémon...plus one or two parts on the side. The Pokémon sections here are positively buzzing, though the literature sections have had that happening lately as well - there has been a large influx of fan fiction writers as of late, and - thanks to you - it's now a little bit larger. Feel proud; you're part of a great event. I haven't seen this much speed around, and it's making my head spin. But for Lake Valor itself, it's certainly a good thing. You have described yourself and your interest quite well - but do you have any questions for us?

Welcome to Lake Valor! Also welcome back to forum life, we are glad to have you! I have seen a few seasons of the Amazing Race, it was interesting, to say the least, iIwould watch it idly if my parents liked it. So how do you like Sinnoh?
Hm! This'll be a bit tricky for me to answer as I don't frequent or haunt very many forums or sites in general, so while I could only guess at what makes it different from other sides, I could speak on what draws I've gotten out of it and seen overall, just from my experience. Firstly, what surprised me the most at first is how welcoming the people here tend to be. The process was twofold: to bring people into LV and make it comfortable enough to be a second home; and then to be integrated enough to want to extend the same kindness to other people here, both new and old. It's nicely self-perpetuating, though whether it's this by design or just a byproduct I couldn't say for sure. Secondly, it's something that constantly grows, adapts, and changes. It's very receptive to current events and to member needs, and tries to shift accordingly. A lot of this is done with behind-the-scenes work, but it's done sometimes in open ways as well. Simply put, when people speak, others listen. We have Sanctuary who has written and re-written most of what LV is from scratch, and I've always respected him for the sheer amount of time, effort, and tears he puts into this. (And I thank him by teasing him relentlessly. It's fine, though. He returns the favour.) Thirdly, it's made very much for networking and making connections. I've made many new friends, and had many wonderful experiences, just from meeting the people here at LV, and those times have made it enriching and 'real' for me, such that I really don't want to leave their company. It may seem simple and silly, and perhaps it is, but that's what's happened to me. ...A bit of a long-winded and intricate explanation, yes, but that's how I tend to speak, by being as thorough as possible. Not everyone speaks like this; I'm just the poster child.
It's great! I've heard lots of people say that Gen 4 is the worst, and I don't really see it. This is the gen that has ball capsules. It has to be epic.
I love gen 4, its my starter gen and my favorite gen, I LOVE ball capsules, they are so fun to play with!
