PMD: Dissonance RP

((Yeah, pretty obvious what's happening here if you read my status update. I'm starting an RP thread based on the PMD fic I've thought about writing right here. This way I also get some practice writing three of the characters and maybe get past my writer's block.))

"So... how much further to this guild?" a Mareep asked. She had kept quiet most of the long walk, lagging behind a pessimistic Treecko and an energetic Charmander.

"We should be seeing it any minute now, assuming nothing bad happened," the Treecko answered.

"Yeah, it's pretty amazing. You should see-"

"How incredible it looks just from the outside. We heard you the first ten times," Treecko interrupted. The Charmander opened his mouth to apologize when a large stone building came into view. Portions of the building that stuck out where supported by large stone pillars that appeared to have risen from the ground itself. atop of the structure was a gemstone that was glowing a myriad of colors.

"Whoa," the Mareep uttered. "So this is the Radiant Guild?"

"That's right. I can't even remember when I was anywhere near here last. Oasis Town should be nearby too," the Treecko replied.

"So how did they get their name? Was it the glowing crystal?"

"Actually, no. It got its name from its founders, though the crystal probably helped," the Charmander answered. "It was founded by an Exploration Team, Team Radiance, shortly after the Rescue Guild was founded. There was some infighting that caused a member of the team to quit. That was none other than the Guild Master of the Rescue Guild, a guild that trains Rescue Teams," he explained.

"Are Rescue Teams any different from Exploration Teams?" the Mareep asked.

"Rescue Teams specialize in Help requests, which usually involve rescuing Pokémon. Exploration teams handle them too, but they also catch criminals. Some even specialize in it," the Treecko explained.

Hm... Maybe if I told the Guildmasters here who I really am, they can help me get home, the Mareep thought. But first, I think I'll give this a chance. I might be stuck like this for a long time anyway. As the trio approached the guild, they spotted a lone Pokémon walking up to the door.

"Pokémon detected! State your identity and your business," a voice demanded from behind the door.

"It's Nova, leader of Team Intervention. I have urgent matters to discuss with Team Radiance," the lone Pokémon, a Lucario, responded.

"Very well, you may enter," the voice on the otherside replied. The metal door rose open. As soon as they were opened enough, the Lucario darted inside.

"What do you think that could be about?" the Mareep asked.

"Probably the distortion in space. I ended up on this continent after getting lost in a forest. Next thing I know, I'm in a desert," the Treecko suggested.

"That's freaky," the Charmander remarked.

The Mareep hesitated for a moment before continuing forward, her two friends following closely behind. They stopped when they reached the large metal door. Or at least it was large from the Mareep's perspective.

"Pokémon detected!" The Mareep jumped, then searched for a possible opening. "State your identity and your business," the voice continued. Finding no openings, the Mareep returned her gaze to the door before her.

"I'm Ashe, a Mareep," the Mareep responded.

"I'm Lin, a Treecko," the Treecko continued.

"And I'm Haurto, a Charmander! We're here to join the Guild as an Exploration team!" the Charmander finished.

"Very well, you may enter," the voice told them. There was a clattering of chains as the door rose up. As the trio walked inside, the gatekeeper was revealed to be another Lucario. "You'll want to see Sol. He's an Espeon in charge of new recruits. You should be able to find him on this floor somewhere," the Lucario told them.

"Thank you," Ashe replied.

"Good luck!" the Lucario called after the trio as the walked down the hall.

"You do realize it could take us the rest of the day just to find Sol, right?" Lin pointed out.

"You do realize we can literally just bump into him in the next minute, right?" Ashe countered as they started to pass other Pokémon.

"Why don't we just ask that Lucario to look for him?" Haruto asked.

"Are you kidding? With all the Pokémon in the Guild right now, it's like finding a needle in a haystack even for a Lucario. Besides, he needs to watch the door," Lin pointed out.

"And the other one said something about urgent matters. We probably should leave him alone too," Ashe added.

"Then I guess we're on our own," Haruto sighed.

 

"...I think we're lost," Ashe states as the trio rounded a corner she swore they passed 3 times already.

"Well let's ask around. Maybe someone has seen him," Haruto suggests.

"Well it's better than walking around aimlessly," Lin agreed. "Excuse me," he said as he walked up to a Ralts. "Have you seen an Espeon named Sol? My friends and I are looking for him, and we got lost on the way," Lin asked the Ralts (Eri).
