Hey LV! How are you with your goals? Do you follow through with them or tend to forget? Are they realistic?

I personally tend to be like "I'll do this" then forget a day later what I was going to do, it gets done eventually though.

I hardly bother any more. I think about it sometimes but I don't set any hard and fast for a few reasons. One being that I know from experience how setting a lofty goal and then realizing you can't meet it can be completely demoralizing, the second being that my current (I guess you could call them goals sort of but it's more like "things i would like to happen") goals partly involve things completely out of my control, how others think and feel. I can't control that, at best I can influence, and you have to be careful there because I don't mean manipulate (which influence can turn into if you are not careful) and I'm not the best at it any more.

I do not consider myself goal-oriented, by any means. I set guidelines for myself and lists of things I have or need to do, fine, but I wouldn't consider those things 'goals'.

I do, however, consider myself 'promise-oriented' - namely, if I say that I will do something, then I will do it, and hold myself to that. This holds both to promises I state to myself and to others; I hold it very important that my word is dependable and reliable, and that I will do as I say I will. Therefore, whenever I say 'yes', it holds a great deal of gravity for me, and I voluntary place on myself a great deal of weight to fulfill that commitment.

I understand that is not a direct answer to the question, but my word is my bond, and that holds truest in the tasks I carry out.

I always try to be a person to do something then and there but I often push the goal so far back that it doesn't matter. I am not realistic about most of them anyway so i guess it doesn't matter so much.

I write down my goals and give myself a deadline to meet them. If I don't...there is no consequence, except for my overwhelming sadness (or I just forgot the goal XD).

Seriously, it's super good to make a list of things you NEED to get done and set a time limit. Sometimes I'll give myself 45 minutes to do my World Civilizations homework, and if I finish before then I'm allowed to go on YouTube (this never happens because my notes are so long....but hey, the method works!)

I recommend learning to set short term and long term goals, to help create a more defined structure for your future.

I'm okay with my goals if they're realistic. I generally don't make many long-term goals, but maybe I'll say, "okay, I want to finish writing this chapter by Friday," and usually I can. I find that deadlines, even if I can't get them right on the money, really help me time myself, so I use them a lot.

I tend to set deadlines for comics a lot of the time. My goal is to be able to upload at least one piece of art every week.

I make realistic goals throughout the day. "Right, I'll go shower, dry my hair and then start on that commission. I think I should be able to finish it tomorrow but I'll give my self an extra day in case."

I attempt realistic goals per day, but they don't always come through. :x

I am a very goal oriented person because when I'm not pursuing a goal, I'm the laziest person alive. On the other hand, the goals I set are very realistic and I put all my energy into them. I will do literally anything to accomplish a goal I will ignore all other feeling saying 'it hast to be done.' This kind of attitude towards my goals has made me very successful but when I don't set goals, I never do anything. I sit around and play video games.
