Tournament Idea: Battle of the Legendaries

I remember from an old community I used to belong to, came up with this tournament idea but it was never implemented because there was not many members who were apart of the community at the time. I thought that Lake Valor would be an excellent place for this idea. I just want to run past this to anybody who is reading this topic.

As you can tell, the title is "Battle of the Legendaries." It is a bit of a twist off of VGC 2016 and the current Battle Spot Special rules being hosted by the Pokémon Company. Here is what I thought up of so far:

1. Any trainer participating may use ONLY one mythical Pokémon OR one of the main legendary Pokémon from the series. (This does include Pokémon declared Uber by Smogon.)
2. Regular standard rules apply like any other battle; however, if the legendary OR mythical of your choice faints in battle, you automatically lose and must forfeit the game.

I am also considering every participant receiving a special gift regarding this tournament because I thought it would be an incentive to want to participate. I do not know when this tournament could be held at the moment because I want to not only get some critiques on this, I am also currently busy with college. I was thinking of having this tournament split up into different seasons. I thought this would be a nice twist considering how competitive battling can be very stale. This idea was thought up of around the time Pokémon Conquest was announced/released. If anyone has suggestions, please reply to this thread or you can always message me. I'm happy to hear some thoughts.

Someone probably will help you out. I don't see why not. I'm considering the UB and Tapu limit atm.

 

You're right and I am going to consider that. The tournament will probably be sometime next month because I want to prepare and get everything ready.

I have extra bottle caps lying around I don't use if you need any. And what I meant was the legendaries like Lugia Ho-Oh Rayquaza Groudon. You are going to be allowed to use legendary trios or duos on the same team (i.e.: Latios or Zapdos can be used on the same team as Kyogre)

Would you guys think allowing Mega Rayquaza would be ok? I'm thinking it should be up to you guys.
