In a timeline where the game is absolutely awesome and the game opens up new possibilities for new games! All I care about is that the game is awesome, the rest of the details should fall into place. Who's with me?
I think it would be after OoT, like kid link growing up again though I think all LoZ timelines are on their own or mostly on their own universe since each Zelda seems to be different or each layout is different.
Actually, @[member="Cadbberry"], There is in official timeline that shows how the games, except for the newest ones, are connected. Personally, I don't care where it is situated in the timelines, seeing as it is looking to be one amazing game. I have heard people talk about this being an alternate timeline, because of the usage of technology in the Sheikah Tablet. Also the Koroks make it had to pinpoint the true timeline.
I know there is one but to me I just kinda see each game as a standalone product, some do stand together but I think most have a story and layout that dont match past games making them a more stand alone game.
It has recently been confirmed that it takes place after Ocarina of Time. When after OoT? Well nobody knows. That's all they said.
They said that the games placement will not be told till after release. So any " it is proven" should be kept quiet imo. Myamoto said it himself that Breath of the Wild's place in the timeline will not be told at all till after the games release. So everything is a guess at this point. With the leaks though we know Beetle is in the game along with Rito like people and Kokiri So i guess is that it would be before the split. The only thing i find weird about this is we have the wind waker Kokiri , a skyward approach to the Rito and the Zora are still present....
