Okay currently I have an Incineroar, Swampert, and Gyarados on my team but I cannot get passed like the eighth battle. I get destroyed every time, and I was wondering what a good team would be so I can at least scout someone for a double battle

Go with the cheapest possible team you can make. No joke. A wall that just steals life, or cheap killing other Pokémon. It doesn't matter what you do, unless it is either cheap or overpowered.

In singles I like to build a team that consists of a mega, z-move/sweeper, and a bulky offensive/tank Pokémon.

Doubles tend to be more unpredictable, but utilizing weather, terrain, and other niche strats like trick room, beat up justified, quiver dance dancer, etc. are good but aren't guaranteed with success. It helps to have a team that has few weaknesses and that is versatile against teams that would be able to resist your combinations (so if you run a rain team be prepared for other water, grass, electric Pokémon, abilities that counter (water bubble, water absorb, storm drain) or other weather etc.) Protect and Fake Out are also helpful, along with using a Pokémon with a Z move since they break through protect.

My husband and I did a Vaporeon ( me ) and Aquanid ( Him ) combo and that is ridiculously broken and super easy to put together!
