Where does your inspiration come from?

I sometimes get inspirations based on what others have done before, and sometimes from the memes I feel like drawing Colress because of the hair XD
I'll have conversations with some of my friends, and I'm like,"Oh, I should write/draw something about that.", or just when I feel like I need to improve.

 

Most of things I write/draw get inspiration from all sort of things, usually from movies and video games. Some of the more random things I create come from friends' ideas though. XD

 

I can confirm that most of my sister's inspiration comes from stupid conversations we have: heck, even I draw pointless scribbles from those.

For my writings, one-shots are also inspired by these conversations. For bigger projects... I'm not sure, just a little spark of an idea and the thought of writing something. For DSTM, it was just "I should write a fic about this." So I did.

 

My inspiration comes from music or another's work. Typically, for writing, a concept will just jump into my mind, birthing me a setting and characters. Whether that concept gets a plot or not varies from work to work, but most do get the time of day within my mind.

 

Music or even reading other fanfics

 

I don't receive inspiration, I chase after it with a club. But in all seriousness, I listen to music and just think. I tend to think a lot

Yup, inspiration comes from the good and bad stuff. It is a matter of how are you living the moment mostly.

I'm inspired by events, music, and creepy stuff.

 

I think way too much. I don't have fits of inspiration, I just sit for hours and think about topics even when I'm supposed to do work. My fanfictions usually come from the near infinite possibilities that I think a TV show should go or would logically go. For my original work, I just pull ideas from my fanfic ideas and plop them into the story. My inspiration is just hours of goofing off by thinking.

Edit: I also get a lot of inspiration listing to music. Something about action and heart pounding music makes my brain work and come up with wonderful battle scenes.

 

I usually get it from watching something or reading something. Otherwise I typically get it in the dead of night when I'm trying to sleep or just sitting around bored out of my mind.

 

I get inspired by fandoms and other artists, seeing the way they do things interests me and makes me curious about how I could compete with my own style or make people interested in what I have to offer.

 

I find my inspiration comes from everywhere, especially inconspicuous places as of late. One such odd example... Not too long ago I noticed that the hologram on Turkish passports falls across the forehead on the ID photo, giving the appearance of a tiered, wavering halo. Definitely have to do something with the ideas that gave me!

I usually get My inspiration from songs or daydreams I have of situations I want to be in ;w; I'm such a sucker lol.

 

Pretty much it just comes through the wall with a big hammer and says, here do this. Like my recent Marina art with the Riley hat. Also songs and stuff like that, game storylines too.

 

It's almost always in the work of others be that photography, makeup, designs or actual artworks. I usually find them via fb pages, instagram pages and deviantart pages.

 

I'd say that my inspiration actually came out of the books I read in high school. Books like "The Things They Carried" and "Heart of Darkness" really helped me develop my writing style, and encouraged me to seek more on depth literary writing.

 

I stumble upon awesome pictures I find when traversing the Internet, and as I behold it, I think "That looks really nice. I bet I can make a signature out of that."
More often than not I tend to actively look for said pictures, but finding a good image entirely on accident is a great pleasure, and sometimes what comes out of that tends to be so much better than what I would be deliberately looking for. That isn't always the case, though - it can go either way - but I do like it when I'm handed an unexpected 'challenge' of sorts.

 

I usually get inspiration from just normal things that I see around me, and sometimes I get it from just random things that pop up into my head. One time I actually drew a little comic based on a conversation I had with one of my friends. I just thought about a different way it could have ended and drew that. I guess I just get inspiration from a bunch of different things.
