Stuck on how to begin that epic story? Want to practice your writing skills? Then the Weekly Prompt Thread is for you!

Every Monday, I will post a new prompt here. You are then welcome to write as much as you want on the topic (but at least a paragraph)

If you have a suggestion for a prompt, PM me by the Friday before at the latest. In addition, you are not limited to just the prompt for that week--any prompt can be used at any time.

That said, here's your first prompt:

Ever wonder what classic folk tales and fairy tales would look like in the Pokeworld? Find a fairy tale or folk tale and Pokemonize it!

So, I couldn't start a new topic in the subforum, so I'm putting it here within a spoiler tag. I hope this is acceptable.

(This is very corny but I'm still somewhat content with this tidbit of writing)

Shane knocked on Jade's door, the loud knock harmonizing with the pattering rain. He, of course, held an umbrella, but the black fabric, nor his grey hoodie, could protect him against Jade. He'd destroyed her favorite book, not to mention her English project, a few days ago. She wouldn't be too happy to see him at her door. Nonetheless, the wooden door swung open, and Jade's brown eyes pierced Shane's ocean blues.

"Why are you here?" she asked nonchalant.

"I'm here to make it up to you, destroying your stuff." Shane nodded.

"How do you plan on making up a C in the class and no entertainment?" Jade snapped.

Shane grabbed her hand and pulled her out of the house, shutting her door. Jade tried to tug away, but Shane kept going.

"Stop! Let go! Pretty sure this is kidnapping!" Jade cried. They walked down the street onto a busy street, Shane still dragging Jade. They walked up to a local fast food restaurant, where Jade liked to eat. He sat her down, and they ordered their food.

"The English project isn't due until Friday, it's Wednesday. I can help you retype it, and print it out. And, as for your book..." Shane trailed off.

"It stopped print years ago, and you did quite a good job spilling your Pepsi all over it." Jade shot.

"I know, but I can make it up to you-" Shane began.

"Stop saying it and do it already." Jade snapped.

"Got it, got it.." Shane reached into his backpack and pulled out a book. It was the book, but not the same copy.

"I had to quit at the theater and for a week to get my sister to pay me this book. I won't be able to pay my phone bill this month, but I'll live. Just won't have phone service next month. Not to mention, I'll buy." Shane nodded, just as their food got around.

"What happened to not having money?" Jade asked.

"I never said I didn't have money, I just said I didn't have enough to pay my phone bill." Shane nodded, eating a french fry.

"Well, thanks for getting it back." Jade nodded.

"No problem. Do you need me to come and type it up tonight?" Shane asked.

    "Yeah, I do." Jade nodded.

"Oksy, oh, and there's one more thing." Shane nodded.

The two finished their food and walked away. getting in Shane's car back at his house. It was closer than Jade's which was down another street. They drove to the jewelry store his sister worked at, and walked in.

"Shane, what are you doing here?" his sister asked. "Here for your pay?"

"I thought you said you didn't get paid?" Jade muttered.

"I didn't. You did." Shane nodded, giving her a ring box. Jade opened it up, to see an radiant amethyst embedded into a dazzling silver ring.

"Why would you buy this for me?" Jade asked.

"Because there's one more way I want to make it up to you." Shane smiled. "Accompaniment."

"You're giving me a ring to ask me out? That's called class." Jade laughed.

    "Oh, just answer." Shane played.

"Yes, I'll go out with you." Jade smiled.
