Heracross and Mienshao are two of the UU metagame's most dangerous fighting type threats. Both have a good movepool, good abilities, and great overall stats that allow it to be superior to other fighting type options.

I think Heracross is the bigger threat because of its ability Moxie; Moxie boosts Heracross's already great attack stat every time it KO's a Pokémon; When given a choice scarf and this ability, Heracross is set to help a team win. Close Combat, Earthquake, Stone Edge, and Megahorn are all powerful attacks and provide perfect coverage for at least neutral damage.

On the other hand, Mienshao is a Pokémon who just can't compete with Heracross's offensive prowess. WIth moves like Hi Jump Kick, U-turn, Aerial Ace, and Stone Edge, Mienshao is slightly behind Heracross. Along with that, Mienshao has Reckless and Regenerator abilities, both of which require healing support or switching out (respectively). Mienshao's bulk is significantly lower than Heracross's bulk, so it can't take as many hits as Heracross.

I'd say Mienshao is the better of the two. With Heracross, while powerful, isn't very fast. Mienshao is, which gives it an edge. Plus, Mienshao, as mentioned, has both Reckless and Regenerator; the former automatically makes it a powerful threat (at the cost of the risk of recoil via Hi Jump Kick), and the latter allows it to passively heal, an option Heracross doesn't have. Mienshao also has Baton Pass. Given it's high Speed, it can set up a Substitute, use something like Swords Dance, then Baton Pass away and heal off the cost of the Substitute.

what Mienshao lacks in power it makes up for in speed and balance. Heracross is not a very fast Pokémon and there are plenty of decently fast fire types in UU that could quickly dispose of this thing before it gets the chance to attack. Mienshao however has some pretty decent speed on it as well as being strong in both Atk and Sp atk making it a bit more versatile than heracross

I might be a little bias here because Mienshao is one of my favorite Pokémon, but like everyone else is saying, what Mienshao lacks in strength, it makes up in speed. And actually Meinshao and Heracross attack base stat are both at 125, just Heracross gets better moves. But then Mienshao is faster, which I think that's what makes it the better of the two.

But Heracross gets boosts from Guts and Moxie something mienshao does not get access to, even though i prefer mienshao

Heracross is more endangered by fast flying types than Mienshao, and unfortunately has no means of becoming faster than them other than Rock Tomb, which is generally an undesirable move.

However, you can always baton pass an agility or two to Heracross from a different Pokémon. With speed taken care of, let the sweeping begin.

Heracross is a monster, no doubt. He burns cities in his wake XD. But I personally can't stand Bug types, they creep me out (Sorry Burgh!) and Heracross is too much like Pinsir, and I find Pinsir disturbing and scary. *shudders*

From personal opinion, from someone who doesn't competitive battle or train very hard at all, Mienshao is my pick. However she is available much later in the game, which proves to be a giant pain.

They are both formidable opponents, but for my sanity I would pick Mienshao. I tried Heracross but he creeped me out way too much. Like everyone has said, one is a fast and balanced sweeper and the other a hard hitting tank. Just depends on you style, I guess.
