What were you personal thoughts on these new additions to Gen 5? Did you like the new battling style?

I really don't care for Triple Battles as they get a little to hectic and crazy for me with six Pokémon attacking every turn. Rotation Battles on the other hand I love. It makes you think more about what your opponent will do and what they will switch to. Its a fun battle style overall.

Agree. Triple battles get really annoying when th Pokémon you could totally take down is too far away from your offensive Pokémon to reach. There's even a really specific psychic type move that switches Pokémon places, but that's only if the Pokémon with the move is on the field, and there happens to be a Pokémon you need to move. It's a waste of a move, really.

Rotations are fun. At first I thought that rotating Pokémon would take up a turn like switching, but that cleared up when I tried it out. It's a bit more realistic, in my opinion. If I was a Pokémon trainer and I was battling someone, I'd sure as hell take out more than one Pokémon and have them jump in whenever I wanted.

Triple battles were a bit irritating. They took forever, and three Pokémon going out and attacking all at once is a bit hard to keep track of. However, it does make you feel good when you see that one of your Pokémon is the fastest of the bunch. xD

I liked the rotation battles. It was easy to get type advantages faster if you needed to, and it was just an overall fun way to battle.

I liked rotation, more than triple battles. I love double battling, but triple was just a bit too much for me to keep up with. Although I still prefer single or double battles above all else, I do really like the occasional rotation battle!

I don't mind them. They were definitely an interesting switch from the norm. Though I think I like Rotational better because I can just switch them out whenever I feel like it.

Triple Battles really didn't strike me as anything special. Sure, you get an extra Pokémon, but as previously mentioned, it kinda sucks when you can't attack a Pokémon on one edge with yours.

Rotation Battles I thought were a pretty neat little gimmick. It's more strategy-based than regular battles, and it (in a way) makes EV training Pokémon a tad easier.

I would say my opinion on triple battles, but it's already been said. They're annoying, time-consuming, and pointless. Rotation battles, however, are a good way to implement new strategy in Pokémon. I think they're a great edition.

I honestly thought these were very creative ways to bring a new battle style into Pokémon. Of course everyone was skeptical at first but everyone got used to it eventually just like we will learn to get used to hoard battles in X/Y
