    Pokémon Violet Sky

The story begins in the Kansai region, a region full of mystery and secrets to be learned by the player. Many new Pokémon and adventures await you in Kansai.

Your journey starts off in a small island known as Crimson Shore Town. This tiny town is located at the very edge of Kansai. From here players can take off on their journey across the region.

Before leaving, the players will be visited by their rival, Cooper. Cooper will tell you that Professor Linden would like to give you both a Pokémon and a Pokédex. Cooper aims to find the Legendary Pokémon she has studied about ever since he was a young girl.

When they arrive at the Professors lab, they will be greeted by the man himself. The Professor is one who aims to study about Pokémon and their evolutions. His name is Professor Linden. Professor Linden will give you one of three Pokémon, you can choose between Cyclopti, Manticub and Theria.

Once given a Pokémon, you will be given your Pokédex in which you can register all of the Pokémon you'll see on your journey. Cooper will then challenge to a battle with his new Pokémon. Once you have beaten/lost against her, he will row to find the Legendary Pokémon and capture it.

You will now be ready to continue with your journey across the Kansai region. From Crimson Shore Town, you head off to Route 1A. From here you will be able to battle a few trainers on the route before reaching Dewdrop Port City.
Here, the trainer will encounter some shady characters, but not much will be revealed about them until a later point.

In this Port City, you will be able to get some new items and heal up in their Pokécenter. Each Pokécenter also contains a Pokémart within. You will meet up with Cooper here once more before leaving the City. She will give you five Pokéballs for your journey.

Once you and Cooper have departed, you will be able to continue on to Route 2B. In Route 2B you will be given another chance to fight trainers and pick up a few items along the way. Once you have finished up in Route 2B, you will arrive at Cobblehelm Town. Cobblehelm is a mostly rocky, old fashioned type of City. A large Arceus statue can be found here too. The first gym can be found here. It is run by Jinni, she uses Normal Type Pokémon.

Once you have beaten Jinni, and leave her gym, you will run in to the main evil team of this game. The evil team is known as Team Photon. Team Photon are a group of scientists, and their goals are to evolve Pokémon beyond their capacity. With this, they will be able to control new, powerful types of Pokémon which haven't been seen before. You will fight some of the grunts and once they are beaten, you will take on their boss. Their boss will send out an evolution to Castform as his only Pokémon.

Once you have beaten their boss they will retreat until you next see them. You can take off now to Route 3C. A small, forest like trail. Cooper will meet up with you once again here, and will warn you he saw some shady characters hanging around near the woods. You will be able to fight Cooper again here. Once you have parted ways again, you will arrive at Sewaddle Woods. You will have to travel through here to reach the next City.

When you reach a deep part of the woods, you will encounter Team Photon yet again; they will be attempting to evolve Swadloon without friendship. A man will approach you and together you will battle the Photon grunts. Once they have been beaten and you have left, the mysterious man will reveal he is the Gym leader of Oakwood Village. He tells you his name is Syazeel. He will give you the item Hatchet which can you use to cut down small trees. He will then return to the gym.

You can now finish up in the woods and you will arrive in Oakwood Village. A small, hidden away Town where people live in wooden houses. This small town is located in the midle of the forest. The next gym is also here. The gym leader uses bug type Pokémon. Once beaten, you can progress on again once more.

Once you have beaten Syazeel, you will have to fight Team Photon again. Their boss reveals his name as Starkk. Once the battle is over with Starkk, he will attempt to attack you, however he is halted by N. N makes a return to this game to aid you against Team Photon. Once their intense fight is over, you will pass out.

Once you wake up, you will be inside of a small house. N is waiting here with you. Once you have spoken with N, he will leave and you will be ready to continue on your journey. You can also take part in a Bug Catching contest here. The one who captures the best bug Pokémon wins a special item.

You can now continue to Route 4D. Route 4D is a small route with lots of trees. Once you have finished Route 4D, you can enter Aprigrain town. Aprigrain is a small, quiet desert town. This is where the third gym is located. You will also fight Cooper here once more. When finished, Cooper will give you the item Sledge Hammer. You can use it to smash rocks blocking the way.

The third gym is run by Marko. Marko uses Ground Type Pokémon. Once you have defeated Marko in battle, you will proceed to Route 5E.

Route 5E is a sand type route with lots of puddles. Route 5E however leads straight on to Molken Cave. Molken Cave has many neat paths as it was recently remodeled for trainers. Once out, you will be at Route 6F, a well done path with lots of cables running up and down. Once you have finished Route 6, you will be taken to Molken City.

Molken City is a modern city, with lots of power and cables running about. Once you enter, you will meet with N once more. N will explain that Team Photon are somewhere in the City, and that you should look for them.

After looking about, you will be able to find Team Photon in the Subway. You will be able to fight Team Photon here, and once you are finished with them you will again fight Starkk. This time Starkk will have another evolution to a Pokémon without one.

Once Starkk is beaten, they will attempt to retreat. However they are stopped by the gym leader. The gym leader is known as Voltrika. After a little talk, Team Photon use Castform's evolution to create a storm, hence letting them escape without anyone stopping them.

Voltrika will now return to the gym, where you can now battle her. She uses Electric Pokémon. Once Voltrika is beaten, you will return to the subway. Here you can take the train to the next area. The train will lead you to Blue Frost Town. Blue frost is a small hidden away iced over town. There are a few landmarks here, like the Ice Skating Rink and the next gym. The Gym leader is known as Iceburg. Iceburg uses Ice Pokémon.

You will once again encounter Team Photon near the Ice Skating Rink. Team Photon are searching for some special ice which is used to keep Pokémon calm and docile whilst on the rink. Cooper will finally arrive on the scene to confront the team.

You and Cooper will fight Starkk in a double battle. Once you have won, Team Photon will again retreat, and you will be able to fight the gym leader. Once he is beaten, you can move on to Route 7G. Route 7G is full of Ice and ice mazes to confuse the trainer. Once you have finished this route, you will be taken to Frosted Meadows Farm.

Apparently, Team Photon grunts have been trying to capture a Tauros for experiments. After encountering two grunts, you will go in to a Double battle with them. Once they are defeated, you will be given HM Fly. Once finished with the Farm, you will have to go through Coldmount Peak. Lots of Ice and steel typed Pokémon live here.

When you have made your way through, you will arrive in Coldmount Town. This small Town is ontop of a mountain. However when you arrive you will see that no one is around, and that all of the doors are locked. You will finally learn that a Abomasnow has been attacking people and causing chaos through the City. Once you have beaten it, the Major and people of the Town will thank you. The Major also happens to be the gym leader, and will finally open up the Gym so you can challenge him. His name is Spartacus and he uses Rock type Pokémon.

You will now take off to Route 8H. This Route is mostly defrosted but with a little bit of snow still lingering about. You will meet with N here once more and he will warn you that Team Photon has been spotted nearby and that you should look out for them.

The next city you arrive in is called Punk Hazard Town. Punk Hazard is a dump, lots of poison and fire type Pokémon live here. There are no houses either. Just a gym and Nurse Joy who will heal your Pokémon. When you arrive at the gym, you will again be confronted by Starkk and Team Photon. After beating them they will explain that they are after a very rare Pokémon spotted in Punk Hazard Town. Cooper soon shows up, excited to find the Legendary.

The legendary Pokémon will appear before them and the trainer. This legendary Pokémon is a Poison type and is known as Toxistorm. It will soon escape. Team Photon and Cooper hurry after it. You will now be able to fight the gym leader. The Gym leader is known as Vennette and she uses a mixture of Fire and Poison type Pokémon.

Once you have finished with Punk Hazard town, you will be able to move on to the next route. Your journey now continues on to Route 9I, a rough trail with lots of high grass. On Route 9I, you will once again meet Cooper. She states that he is worried about the Legendary as he thinks Team Photon may have captured it already.

You will now enter Sakura Blooms Town. This quiet town is very well built, and has it's own Safari zone and gym. Here, you will spot the legendary Pokémon once more. Starkk and Cooper will arrive. You and Cooper will challenge Starkk once more and when the battle is over the Legendary gets captured by Starkk. He will soon leave for the next City.

There is no gym here, however there is a port. You will also have to take a boat to progress to the final Gym City.

After taking the final boat, you arrive in Crescent Valley City. This is where the final gym is located and the only way to the Pokémon League. Crescent Valley is a large, old fashioned city with many Pokémon trainers waiting to challenge the Elite Four.

Here, you will see that the gym is closed as the leader, Artemis has gone to fight Team Photon and their Legendary Pokémon. You will once more take another boat to an island on a giant hill. At the top, Starkk and Cooper will have already battled, but Cooper has lost. You will fight Starkk for a final time, who has the Legendary Pokémon as his only team member.

Once he has been defeated, he will reveal that the Legendaries purpose is to create a special gas cloud above the Kansai region, causing Pokémon to begin evolving when they shouldn't. The Legendary arises but finally Artemis arrives and captures it. Finally, the police arrive and arrest Starkk. The gym leader now returns to his gym where you can fight him for the final badge.

Artemis uses a team with competitive sets and items. Once beaten, you will be able to challenge the Elite Four. From Crescent Valley, you take a long path which is full of many trainers to battle. Once the path is over and all of the trainers have been beaten, you will be able to fight the Elite Four and Champion.

Once inside the Elite Four, you can heal your Pokémon and buy some last minute items. When you are ready, you can challenge the Elite Four. First of all comes Draken who uses a team full of Castform evolutions and forms. Once he is beaten, you can progress on to fighting Clara. Clara uses Steel Pokémon. After Clara, you can fight Stratos. Stratos fighting type Pokémon. Finally, you can fight Oswald. Oswald uses Ghost Pokémon.

Finally, after beating the Elite Four, you can move on to the champion. The Champion is known as Forrest. Forrest uses a team of random Pokémon with competitive movesets and items. After beating Forrest, you have finally beaten the main storyline.

    After Game:

When you wake up at home, you will go downstairs and be greeted by your mother and N. N now gives you HM Surf which will allow you to visit certain places you couldn't get to before.

As you step outside, you will notice it is snowing in the island. Professor Linden greets you again and awards you by giving you another Pokémon. This time you can chose between Chespin, Fennekin and Froakie.

The Professor then gives you a Boat pass. He tells you that you can take a boat from Dewdrop Port to the Ryukyu Islands. He also tells you that N and Professor Oak are waiting for you there. Once you get on the boat and arrive in the Ryukyu Islands, Professor Oak and N will be waiting for you. Professor Oak will tell you he is interested in learning about some of the new Pokémon here, so he will give you an upgrade to your Pokédex. You will be able to see even more Pokémon now.

N will say that you can travel across this region fighting new gym leaders and once you have beaten them all you will be able to take on the Valor Frontier. He also notes that his Surf HM will be useful because the waters in the Ryukyu Islands are too rough and cold to swim in. They will soon depart after this.

You will now move up the small route and arrive in Honeytree Grove Village. A small village with lots of honey trees. Random villagers will give you samples on honey here, and you will be able to use them on the trees to find rare Pokémon such as Aipom and Munchlax. Professor Oak's temporary house can also be found here. You can report to him once in a while to show off your Pokédex.

Once you have left, you will taken to Route A. A small route lined with honey trees and excited trainers.

Once Route A is finished, you will arrive in Foggy Bay City. A small, unused port town. It is said that it was once a major port which was very useful for trainers when traveling from Kansai to Johto. The small City is covered in fog. The first gym is here, and the gym leader uses the Steel type. His name is Gin. Once beaten, you will be able to progress yet again.

You will now come to Route B, a foggy route. Lots of items are hidden here. You will be greeted by N once again, this time he will give you the TM for Defog. You will be able to use this to get rid of some of the fog.

This time you will arrive by Lake of Values. Suicune can be found here.

Once you have finished swimming across the Lake, you will arrive by a passage way. This passage way will lead you through the sky. When you finish walking through the passage, you will arrive in Aerosandria City. When you arrive, you will be greeted by the gym leader, Caprice. She uses the Flying type. She will tell you that the City resides in the sky, and that the only way to get down is via her plane. She will only take you once you have beaten her gym.

Once she has been beaten, you will be able to ride with her in her plane. The plane will take you to Metadome City. This city is surrounded by a huge dome. The only way to get in is by plane. Caprice will tell you that the gym leaders name is Cyprus. He is her brother and also happens to run the gym. Cyprus uses Psychic Pokémon.

Once you have beaten him, you will be able to leave the City and head straight on to Route C. A small trail with lots of trainers. A daycare center can also be found here. Once you have finished with the route, you can head on to Route D. In this small mountain like Route, there is a large sandstorm which is always brewing.

Finally, you will arrive in Goldcoast City. A mine city where everyone is in gold rush and trying to find as many nuggets as possible, so they can sell them for good price. You must have/obtain 5 nuggets to bribe the gatekeeper who "protects" the gate of the gym. Nuggets can be given to you for free once you beat workers around the City. The Gym leader is known as Bucky and he uses Fighting Type Pokémon.

Once you have finished up with the gym, you will be able to go through the mine. Quite a few nuggets can be found hidden about here. Once you make it through, you will arrive in Route E. Route E is, however, a dead end. You cannot go anywhere from here except Dive. N will approach you however, and will give you the HM for Dive. You can teach it to a Pokémon and you can dive here to reach the under water Town known as Crystal Deep. In this under water town, they are closed away from society. They have many strict laws too. The gym leader is known as Ruby, she uses Water type Pokémon. The Lake Valor house is also here, Inside you will be able to find various characters from LV staff inside.

Once beaten, you can return to the surface and will find yourself in Route F. Route F is a small water Route. Once you have completed it, you will arrive at Nightshade woods. Once you go through here, you will meet with Cooper for the very first time in the second half of the region. She will explain that he has trained a lot and still aims to find rare legendaries. You will now be able to battle him.

Once the battle is over and you depart, you can leave the woods and arrive at Auburnia City. A small, creepy ghostly city. It is said spirits live here. The gym leader here is known as Jessica and she runs a Ghost type gym. Once you have finished with the Town, you can proceed onwards.

You will now come to Route G. When you arrive, A man with red hair will approach you, he will inform you that all of his Pokémon are missing and he needs your help finding them. You will be able to find his Pokémon as you progress through the route. Once you return them to him, he will thank you and will tell you he is the gym leader of the next location. He will return to the gym.

When you finish the route, you will come to Clamiheat Town. In this small town, there isn't much apart from the hot springs and a few houses. The fire gym leader known as Smokey can be found here.

Finally, the last route you enter will be Route H. This small route is a rather rough trail. Once you have finished there, you will arrive in Stoneheart City. This City is also known as the "Home of Dragons" and many elders live here. The final gym of the region is here. The gym leader is known as Arthur.

Once he is beaten, you will be greeted by Professor Linden who will congratulate you on your success as a trainer. He will give you an upgrade to your boat pass. You can now take another boat from Dewdrop Port City to the Valor Frontier, where the strongest trainers gather to fight. You will be able to meet Cooper and others here too.

    Notes:
Kansai is a Japanese Region. I thought it sounded pretty cool to be honest, not too hard to say either!

Violet Shore is a perfect name because of the vast amounts of sunsets across the city. A Japanese name would sound sort of weird. They don't really do that in Pokémon for towns and stuff. Besides, our game is English.

Linden is a type of tree. Generic, I know, but at least it follows some sort of continuity.

Linden studies evolution because in this game we plan to add brand new evos for certain Pokes who need them.

Legendary doesn't appear until Punk Hazard because it's the poison/dump heap place where it would live.

No need for tons of HM's. They can be really annoying. After game you will get the main HM's since I don't want players surfing in places where Legendaries are until post-game.

Since Toxistorm's Gas is capable of evolving Pokémon beyond their limit, that could explain why in this region their are Pokes with new evolutions and pre-evolutions.

If possible, we would like to incorporate following Pokémon sprites. Maybe just for the starters.

Finally, the trainer will be able to swim ANYWHERE he likes opposed to getting Surf or a gym badge. The only place he won't be able to swim is where you can find the legendaries. The water will be too rough to swim here.
