    Has anime ever done this to you? For me, yes, it has. Not like sobbing and stuff but it made me teary before.

    Hm, not ever get teary but the closest I remember to ever getting like that was the first time I watched the whole series of Gundam Wing and then Endless Waltz a few years ago, kind of like in a marathon. During the ending of Endless Waltz which closes the series, the narrator says "AC197, peace has returned to the people, and from this point on in history, weapons called Mobile Suits, including the Gundams, were never seen again.."

    At that the first time after watching the entire series and getting invested into it, I dunno, it just seemed like a somewhat emotional 'manly tears' thing, even though there's nothing that emotional about it I guess. That's the closest I ever came to tearing up at anime, and probably always will be because I am just not emotionally invested in things like that any more. Narration I speak of starts at 1:40 in the video.

    I don't really watch animes but they really don't make me cry, they're just interesting, especially the one's that involves zombies/aliens in it.

    The ending of the Tales of the Abyss anime (and the game) made me a little watery-eyed. Besides that... nope.

    Despite me not really watching anime all that much, the ones I have seen, had made me cry in some point. The ones that usually succeed in making me tear up most, is Pokémon. Some of their movies I still cry in even though I've seen the thing a million times. I'm so sappy ;v;
    Others that had succeeded in making me tear up/cry are: Ending of DNAngel, Angelic Layer, Elfen Lied (because I was so peeved off), and... one other one which I am currently forgetting about. *sad face*

    I haven't watched the anime of this, but read the books of it so far. Fruits Basket was a very touching series in my opinion, very romanitc(which is strange for me to read cuz im a guy, but im a romantic type of guy, so it works) I might make a topic on Fruits Basket.

    I'm not even going to lie, my inner 12-year-old weeaboo has reawakened lately and she is unashamedly full on otaku.

    Some anime that stands out that I know I've cried while watching are Wolf's Rain, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and I'm a little ashamed to admit it but Chi's Sweet Home - Chi's New Address got me to tear up recently, when Chi runs after the butterfly and Yohei is crying in the grass, I love cats so that one really touched me ;c

    I bawled once when watching Naruto. It was the episode where Gaara and Rock Lee fought. After getting his leg and arm crushed, I thought Lee was going to die. He's my favorite character, so I cried :) I also cried a bit when watching Full Metal Alchemist. A scientist turned his sweet daughter Nina into a Chimera and then she murdered. The whole scene upset me.

    Omg that episode from FMA made me cry too, and I didn't really watch the anime. We watched it during an anime club at college. I had to fight back the tears and hide my face from other people because I was sobbing xD
    I felt so bad in that episode ;m;

    I have only come close to crying twice (that I remember):

    --When Ash "died" in movie 1
    --When Max was crying in frustration of not being able to help the Ralts in the episode "Do I Hear a Ralts"? (wanted to jump through the screen and hold him)

    Pokémon the First Movie. Honestly, why wouldn't you cry during that part? It was super depressing, knowing that Pikachu wouldn't be able to wake him back up; but still just kept trying. Like Simba when he tried waking up his dad after he got trampled all over the Wildebeest.

    Those moments in pretty much any show just make me want to curl up and cry in a corner.
