      I'm going to cry... I've been playing Pokémon since I was five, and have never found a shiny Pokémon in a random encounter... My brother just got a shiny Geodude after using Rock Smash... This is his first Pokémon game...

        Those feels. I was in a call with a bud of mine a few years ago, and his first Pokémon encounter while restarting FireRed... Shiny Weedle. Still have yet to FIND a wild shiny.
