About
Hello! My name is Iridescent Isabelle, but most call me Izzy or Isa. I'm Dutch and currently 21 years old. <br />Let's start with a bombshell: I have not been into Pokémon since I was a child, like so many I meet on here. I remember watching a couple anime episodes (in English, though I didn't understand a single thing of it). They had been sporadically on tv when my age was still in single digits. <br />Only rather recently did I re-discover Pokémon. To practice my writing skills, an ex-friend and I began writing fanfiction in the Pokémon fandom. That was in the summer of 2015. Since then, I've been doing a crash course Pokémon.<br />I'm currently watching the anime, only recently into Hoenn. I do not know many Pokémon from that region and even less to absolutely none from the regions following, so please, bear with me. I barely played the games, due to being behind on all those fancy consoles and expensive games, and I just found all the fighting rather tedious.<br />However, I did experience lots of joy in writing Pokémon fanfiction. For me, the Pokémon world comes best alive when I write about it myself. I'm currently in a Johto roleplay, following the Heartgold and Soulsilver games (thank you, walkthrough) and I am rather loving it.<br /><br />I am finishing up my second year at university. I study English Language and Culture and will specialise in Old English and Translation (Dutch <-> English).
