    Lake Valor League Rules

    1. Battles are to be done primarily through Pokemon Showdown unless the challenger and the Gym Leader agree to another method.

Keep in mind that the Gym Leader has the final say, unless they are refusing to use Pokémon Showdown. All matches must be recorded as proof.

    2. You must wait to re-challenge a Gym Leader if you've previously challenged them and lost.

This time is decided by the Gym Leader, with a minimum of 3 days. Your re-match may, with permission from the leader, be scheduled at any time.

    3. Challengers to the Gym Leaders must use the same team for all eight leaders. You may change your team before battling the Elite Four, or you may change your team by returning any and all Gym Badges that you have won.

Before beginning your challenge, submit a detailed copy of your team (Pokémon name, IVs, EVs, moveset, items, etc.) to LV Gym Bot

    4. There are no illegitimate Pokémon allowed. Pokémon created or modified through third party or "illegal" means will be permitted as long as they are legitimate.

To define the word "legitimate" in this case, legitimate means a Pokémon that has no more than 510 EVs total, no more than 252 EVs in a given stat, no shiny Pokémon that cannot be shiny, and nothing unreleased (Mega Flygon, Volcanion, etc.).

    5. Intentionally disconnecting from a battle will count as a loss.

If a Gym Leader is caught disconnecting from matches, they will be permanently removed from their position. Challengers that disconnect will receive a warning or temporary ban from the league for poor sportsmanship.

    6. Anything on the following blacklist may not be used:

    Banned Moves: Swagger, Baton Pass*
Banned Items: Kangaskahnite, Lucarionite, Blazikenite, Gengarite, Salamencite, Soul Dew
Pokémon: Arceus, Speed boost Blaziken, Darkrai, Deoxys, Deoxys-A, Dialga, Genesect, Giratina, Giratina-O, Greninja*, Groudon, Ho-Oh, Kyogre, Kyurem-W, Lugia, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin-S, Xerneas, Yveltal, Zekrom

Clauses: Species clause, Sleep clause, Evasion clause, OHKO clause, Moody clause, Endless Battle clause

For more information on what these clauses are, click here.

*Baton pass may not be used on more than 3 Pokémon on any given team.

*Greninja is banned only if it knows either Gunk Shot or Low Kick.

    7. Gym Leader teams are to be monotype with up to 2 wild cards. Elite Four may use up to 3 wild cards.

A wild card is a Pokémon that does not match the team's type.

    8. Do not ask to become a Gym Leader or an Elite Four. You must earn your position through a league tournament/tryout or by special consent.

    9. Challengers may not reveal any information regarding a Gym Leader's team to anyone. Likewise, Gym Leaders may not share any information about a challenger's team to any others.
