Alright here we go, starting a portfolio! I'll accept constructive criticism, but some of the things I'll be posting will be old so criticism might not be relevant on some older things. I'll probably include a short description with each post that includes when it was made. Here's the first thing I thought to upload here. My team from Explorers of Sky complete with all of their items. (Umbreon's Dusk Collar, and Sceptile's Guard Ring, Grass Blade, and Drain Bangle and their hold items, the Golden Mask and Space Globe.) This one was pretty recent, from July of last year.
That is really wonderfully drawn! The textures you use are really perfect! Also, that mask looks excellent with Umbreon, the colors work so well together!
If this is last year recent, I have a feeling you are one wonderful artist. I look forward to seeing more.
I don't know why I didn't think of posting this one first since I just made this one a couple weeks ago. This is the cover art I made for the prequel of my mystery dungeon fanfic series. I don't want to upload everything at once so I might upload something else later, but not much else today.
I figured I should probably make an icon, so I did this as something kind of quick. I think I could have gone a little darker with the shading in places, but I guess it works for an icon since it's something smaller.
Probably my favorite older piece. It makes me want to go back to drawing in Gimp. I almost didn't finish it because my computer at the time crashed partway through working on the background, but luckily I sent a screencap to a friend when I first finished the Celebi, so I managed to salvage it. This was done back in 2011.
For this next one I have two different versions of it. One on the left was done entirely by me, the one on the right was colored and shaded by my boyfriend (@VeryBerryPerry on twitter) using the original lineart I did. I combined them into one image to save on space and inverted mine to make it more aesthetically pleasing. We both colored them without knowing what the other was doing at first, so it's interesting to see what we did similarly and what we did differently. I forgot he made his own version until I went looking for mine on DA, so I thought I'd include them both. This one's from 2012.
So this may be the best thing I've ever drawn. Originally was just going to draw Suicune running on water, then figured "why not add an Azelf"? I started working on this early this morning. It probably took around 12 hours.
That Suicune looks gorgeous. I am in love with the way you drew it. The ripples in the lake is stunning as well as the cute little azelf you added
Thanks! I probably spent most of the time trying to figure out how water works. I'm happy with the result though. The Azelf was something I added later, thinking that Suicune should be looking up at something and it seemed appropriate.
Here's a really old one from back when I exclusively used mspaint. This is probably from around 2007-2008 but I'm not sure. Unfortunately this is one of the few pieces of old artwork I still have from when my last computer died. I do have some physical drawings, but they're all packed away so I don't know if I'll be uploading those.
Here's a two-part post. The first one is the cover art for the first book of my fanfic, probably made some time before the Celebi I posted earlier. The second one, hidden in a spoiler tag, is a collection of differently edited versions of the illustrations from the first chapter. I altered them for the story to look more like a sketchy book illustration, but I like these versions too. So I'll probably start uploading them like this every time I post a new chapter. Spoiler: Chapter 1 Illustration Collection
Here's an experimental style I tried out a few years ago. I tried some thicker, cartoony lines and made my own rendition of Togekiss in the meantime. Unfortunately I did this on my last computer and lost the original date I made this, but it was probably some time before the Celebi.
Here's one that I made shortly after the Togekiss. This one's transparent, which I like. I tried making a transparent version of the Togekiss, but it wasn't working out.
