Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon - November 2nd Trailer Analysis

I... I'm at loss for words here... seeing all the other leaders again is so cool! The Japanese trailer actually shows something like the Festival Plaza under attack by the Rainbow Rocket. Maybe that's where you get to battle the old leaders?

 

I like the idea of seeing old leaders but it worries me as it may be nintendo's call for the end of the alolan timeline. I also hope that the Team bosses dont turn out to be complete pushovers and actually function well with the story and the new battle system looks amazing! Who doesnt want a gold bottle cap!?

Also if Giovanni uses mewtwo, does that mean you go back in time to catch it?
if so can you catch it before Giovanni does?
Or is it just a different time line-mewtwo?
Or does he dissipate into nothingness releasing mewtwo?

Theories...

 

This game is probably gonna be a LOT longer than previous games in the past. I mean, with everything that’s happening to the story, it has to be! Hopefully USUM will change my opinion of Alola!

 

This is definitely some interesting news. As if having the Aether Foundation, Team Skull and the URS (assuming they are villainous) was enough.

 

My face when I saw those trailers...This. Is. Awesome.

 

I did a literal spit take when I watched the trailer. The hype train is at hyper speed now.

This rainbow rocket sounds pretty great, I am curious to see how they are going to roll all the teams ever so seamlessly into one. I also wonder if all of these bosses will have legendary Pokémon, if the multiple dimensions theory is true for this game then I wonder if it is all just bosses that actually WON their battle against the protagonist and caught their respective legends. I know Giovanni created his but I can dream for that kinda plot.

 

Im thinking the same thing honestly as it be SO cool. Though BW Ghetsis never "caught" a Legendary it was N who did.

HOLY CRAP IT'S THE WHOLE BAD GANG BACK.

Did you see Archie and Maxie's outfits? Those are the ones from the original RSE games, so this backs up the theory that RBY Giovanni is going around the Ultra Wormholes and bringing original plotline antagonists into the new universe. HYPE HYPE HYPE

 

So it seems like the villains will be part of the main story? I have trust issues haha, I don't wanna believe it and then find out that by all the villains coming back, they just mean we battle them similarly to how we get to battle past champions and such in postgame material. I want some plot.
Also, is the sticker thing replacing the zygarde cells? So will we not be able to change forms? (Not that I ever did that, I didn't really care about that part).
There are so many things being added, but they all seem like bonus features. Is the plot going to be very different? Is this game a remake or a sequel?? I'm so confused haha

 

I screamed when I saw this, just now. I thought 'Rainbow Rocket' would be a failed theory but holy magikarp it's not! As one commenter put it, it's a wonderful way to say farewell to the 3DS as we move forward to the Switch! ;u;
@TsukiToTaiou We did still see 100% Zygarde, so not sure if the cells/cores are gone yet. Pretty sure this is a Parallel Universe, so I think that would fall under 'remake/remaster' instead of sequel.

 

Seeing Rainbow Rocket makes me think perhaps the Ultra Recon Squad won’t be villanous after all. I get the feeling that things will be even less black and white with USM, and that teams will have some mixed intentions.

As for the other team leaders besides Giovanni, I think they’ll work their way into the post game. I just hope that they aren’t pushovers—the UB quest in SM was kind of a disappointment because it was so easy.

 

Something Interesting about why they may be called Rainbow Rocket. When white light is put through a prism (Necrozma) it splits into seven colors. How many generations of Pokémon? 7. How many admins for TRR? 7 again. (that is if Faba is part of RR)

 

Oh boiii, if they are including all these previous gen villains, I really hope some other things will be brought back from wormholes too.

I hope all those legendaries wont be shiny locked either. ;-;

 

I'm so hyped!! The evil teams uniting is going to be awesome!
