I'm not sure where this should go, but I'm sure the mods will move it if I post in the wrong place. I'll eventually get to make my second Let's Play video, but I want to know, which of these 8 games should I play first? That's why I set up this poll. Everyone can vote for up to 4 games. Just note that Kirby and the Rainbow Curse is the only one I haven't played a lot of. Once I've finished some of these games or Nintendo kills the Wii U's internet servers, I will be open to suggestions, but I can only do consoles that support composite video. I won't be able to pick up doing a Let's Play videos until I get my next laptop. The one I have is not fast enough to support the software.
I actually have something silly in mind for Zelda when I get to it. Looks like we can agree on three of those games so far.
I voted for Mario Maker. There are SO many awesome levels that you could spend an entire year on the game and not make a dent in them.
Unfortunately with my dial-up, I can't do much very often other than play my own levels or the sample levels. I'd have to go to a friend's house and use their wi-fi to get someone else's levels. On the other hand, going through my levels can be maddening enough especially when it's part of the upload process. As I've said in my first Let's Play, you do have to clear the level up to three times without dying to upload it: from the start and then each checkpoint. I also like to challenge myself, so I usually make my levels extremely hard.
...You know, I actually have a bunch of courses that never got what they were due either because I never uploaded them, or they were taken down due to a lack of popularity. I should play some of them for my next Mario Maker video if I'm at home.
So here's how I think I'm going to do things: at the end of this poll, the order I play these games in is whichever has the most votes, and then I'll make another poll for each tie. So if I close the poll now, I would for sure do my second Mario Maker LP first, and then I'd make two more polls to decide between Lego and Smash and then MK8, TPHD, Xenoblade, and Kirby Rainbow Curse. Skyward Sword of course would be last. Of course I'm not closing the poll until I can start recording my gameplay again.
This poll is definitely staying open for a while. The laptop that's being refurbished ffor me neds a RAM, but it's been scarce. Maybe I can use the power of Youtube to find it.
Voted for Smash, for no real reason other than nostalgia of the Melee days, IMO Smash hasn't been interesting since then.
I voted Kirby Rainbow Curse because it is sort of unique. (i know there has been some of other Kirby games like it, but i don't care.) It involved using the wii u's main gimmick, the touch touch screen.
Note: all further votes for Super Mario Maker do not count as I have already done two LPs for it. You can however help decide the order of my que by voting for the other 7 games. with the current vote, the order will be: 1. Super Mario Maker (video done) 2. LoZ:SS (next) 3. LoZ:TPHD 4. Kirby Rainbow Curse 5. Super Smash Bros U 6. Mario Kart 8 (due to my vote being among its 3) 7/8. Lego Jurassic World/Xenoblade Chronicles I do not intend to close the poll until I'm on the verge of getting my new laptop, which could very well possibly take the rest of the year as I am $30 away from getting it and it has needed RAM since late last year iirc and hasn't gotten it yet. Also, after I've done Xenoblade 1, expect me to start doing X for Wii U.
Okay, update on the laptop: It just needs to be assembled now, so hopefully it will be ready next month.
Right! So I plan to have my laptop by June 13th, but since I won't know for sure if I'll have it then, I'm not going to announced the closing for the poll just yet, but I would like to remind everyone who hasn't voted yet to please do so. Remember, you have up to four votes. I will try to have the ties broken as best as I can before I close the poll by using my votes. My votes will only count when they prevent it from tying with another game when they would otherwise have the same number of votes. For example, Xenoblade, Smash, and Mario Kart are all tied for 5th, but because I voted for Mario Kart, which keeps it from being tied with Lego Jurassic World, it automatically places 7th instead. Also a reminder that further votes for Super Mario Maker will not count as I have already done two LPs for it and I should probably LP one of the other games first (which still looks like it will be Skyward Sword). That being said, if you already voted for it, nothing's really stopping you from changing your vote. I mean, I would just to break the tie between Smash and Xenoblade and then close the poll, but there's no point in doing that until I get my laptop. I also cannot promise not to do anything silly during either of my Zelda gameplays.
