how often do you visit your local library?

My library hosts several events for the local teens, so I go there often. I actually walk to it with a group of my friends every Tuesday after school.

 

Not nearly as often as I'd like.

 

Y'know, I haven't been to the library in a while. I used to go there on occasion, mainly because at the time my internet situation was complicated and I needed to go there to get homework done. It might be nice to visit one again some time.

 

When I was little I loved going to the library and was even the top of my class in reading the most amount of books that I read in a year but now I don't anymore...

 

I mean, I basically do work at my campus library every day, but I haven't checked out an actual book in forever >_>

 

These days.. not often unfortunately. Though that's mainly because I'm a dumb hermit and basically never go out unless it's for work or shopping for necessities. Before I got my first job, I volunteered at my local library and it was honestly so much fun. So many free books/audiobooks, movies, and music to choose from and even e-books you can "check out." (While not in my city, I hear some libraries even have games you can check out!) Libraries these days, at least where I live, are more like community centers with events going on constantly and resources for things like finding jobs and the like.

 

I never went to the library! Well, that's a lie, I never went to the library to check out a book. I don't like reading books because of my disability so I never need to check out a book so I never go. However, my school used to take us on field trips to the library and I liked how quite and still everything was. I don't like my college library because its basically just a place where they cram as many study table into a building while still having room for books. Its unfortunate that I hate reading because I love it.

 

Oh I Want To Visit The Library Commonly But I Cannot Due To My Safety But I Very Commonly To Visit My College's Library.

Not much. I mostly read books I have at home and stories on Wattpad.
I’ve always been interested in the Warrior cat book series and every time I go to the library I get those whenever I do go.

 

Last time I visited my local library was... never. There actually isn't a public library near me. I'd have to travel a couple hours by train to get to one, and I don't have a library card or anything like that. I also have horrid memory, so I would always forget to bring back a book, anyway.

 

When I was in grade school we used to walk to the library. Near the end of my grade-school days the library moved too far for students to walk so we had to stop going. During highschool I went sometimes to research for papers before I got better internet. Now I don't go at all..

Also, I LOVE the library but it's too far away and we barely ever get to go, and we dont stay for long

 

You know, I actually never—at least, that I have memory of—went to the Public Library here in my city, which is a shame indeed. I never went with my school, nor did I ever visit it with parents. But, this is a good post and it reminded me that maybe I should actually go there? It seems like a nice place to study—and to ward off all distractions that studying in my home might carry—and of course to check out books (I think there's even an online catalogue or something?). So, maybe I should totally go get a library card (it's actually incredibly cheap and there's no need for monthly or annual subscription either, so that's cool). It's also quite near from my home, so it wouldn't be a hassle to go. I just looked it up and it hosts lots of events, movies, etc, so that's cool too.

I only ever went to my Secondary School's library to read a book, that I didn't even finish—I don't really know why I never finished it, it was actually pretty fun, but I'm just a mess following up with things, I must have around 15 books read by half—and that was it. Haven't ever even visited my College Library, and my other College Library is really small, I went only once.

Anyways, I do think Libraries in general are pretty important public spaces. I guess I never went because I'm somewhat of a hermit because I don't really know what places to go or what to do outside so I tend to stay inside? It's a struggle hah.

My local library is really out of the way, and I would really only go there when I was little so my mom could pick up books for me to teach me how to read. If it was closer I'd definitely go more often to have some peace and quiet to work on things.

 

I went to my local library almost every other week up until high-school started, where there was just too much HW for me to be able to read as much, but I have been buying the books from the series I used to read, so I have like 7 books on hold for me.

 

Not very often. The selections not too good and it tends to be pretty noisy. I usually only go if my internet at home goes out.
