1x1 A new journey begins (TalaxChoco)

Name: Emily
Age: 12 - almost 13
Type of Trainer: Co-ordinator
Hometown: Petalburg City
Place they will meet: (Maybe somewhere in between both cities?)
History: Since small, Emily has been fascinated by Pokémon, especially Flying types. When she finally grew up to become of age, however, something happened within her family, and both her parents moved away to pursue their dreams, leaving her with her grandmother. It took her another two and a half years to finally begin her journey, as she had to adjust until her older brother came back to take care of the house. She began looking for ways to begin her Journey, after selecting Torchic as a starter. Emily is a bright, curious girl, but is easily frustrated, and often will be annoyed by her Pokémon's antics. She is also a bit cynical, but tries to stay positive for her Torchic.
Pokémon:
Torchic, level 12. He's bright and cheerful, as well as an overall nuisance towards her. They two are good partners, but Torchic's over-the-top happiness can be annoying at times, or "literally all the time". Despite being annoyed by him, Emily still cares for him very much.


(Also, is your Pokémon an Espeon or a Sylveon? It seems to go back and forth.)

 

"Hey! Torchic! Wait up!" yelled Emily, chasing after the small, chicken-like Pokémon. He turned and chirped, waddling back to his Trainer.
"This place is dangerous," she scolded. "Never run off in the Petalburg Woods! You never know what's going to pop up around here."
"Tor!" teased the smaller Pokémon. After being glared at by the girl staring at him, his head fell. Sighing, she knelt down and cupped her hands, allowing the fire chicken to climb in and be carried to her shoulder.
"We should head back to town now. I bet Grandma would like to see us again."

 

Just as the girl and her Torchic were about to leave the area, a rustle came from behind her. "No! Not now!" Breaking off into a run, she began to dash back to her town. But before she could leave the forest, a wild Zigzagoon flew out, charging at her. With no other option, she sighed. "Torchic! The field is yours!"
"Tor!" squeaked the little Pokémon.
The wild Zigzagoon glared back at her, getting into a fighting stance.
"Here we go!" yelled Emily, raising an arm.

The wild Zigzagoon finally slumped over, defeated. Torchic was panting heavily - he had taken quite some damage. Emily sighed. "C'mon. We gotta go." Clutching the avian Pokémon gently in her hands, she ran off back towards Petalburg City, the little chick peeping happily in her warm fingers.

 

Panting, Emily finally slowed to a walk, Torchic now perched atop her head. The familiar houses of Petalburg Town finally came into her view of sight, the forests now behind her. Spotting their house not too far away, she made her way back over, knowing that Robin was back there waiting - probably with his Charmeleon.

 

(Yeah... It's almost like you predicted it!)
"Robin, how's everything going?" asker Emily as she skidded to a stop.
"Hey. Everything's going fine so far. My new job's paying pretty well - enough to support us. You should be able to start your journey very soon," he replied. "But it's dangerous to go alone. Remember, be careful out there. You too, Torchic," he reminded the fiery chicken, his Charmeleon nodding as well. "You can probably go in a few hours. I've packed a couple items for you, but you may want to bring more."
After a quick, firm hug, the younger girl dashed into her room and back out, waving back to the house that she knew she would already miss.

 

"Okay, so... where are we supposed to be going?" Emily quickly took a glance at the map before her. Taking a long scan, she turned it upside down. Suddenly, it became legible. "Whoops."
Trying to ignore the scratches and scorch marks - Robin's Charmeleon was just as annoying as Torchic, she traced a finger across the paper. "Hm... Littleroot, it appears?"
"Tor! Torchic chic!" chirped the tiny Pokémon on her shoulder.
"Seems about right. Come on, Torchic." The duo began their journey to the next town over.

 

(Twice? I saw the last post, in which she noticed Torchic, but I haven't seen the first one. Sorry! Also, since Serena was heading towards Littleroot already, I think they could meet up there?)

 

Just as the other girl and her Espeon entered the lab, a dark-haired girl burst in, her ponytail flying in behind her. "Sorry I'm late! I'm here to get a Pokédex, since I forgot to get it with Torchic here. Apologies!"
"Tor," added the little chick on her shoulder.
"No worries - I was wondering why I had another one here," the professor replied, handing over a Hoenn Dex, with a quick apology and thanks from Emily.

 

(Sorry for not being here for so long! I had camp, and didn't get the chance to alert you.)
"Serena, huh? That's a nice name," commented Emily from the sidelines. "How're you doing? Hoenn's a really nice place when you get to know it, so I hope you enjoy your time here! Speaking of which, what's your reason for coming?"
