Your “Baby”

I don’t think I’ve ever made an art piece I’ve ever looked at and been like ‘ah yes. this is the one’. I’ll leave that for other people to decide haha.

 

Besides my OC Shadria (who've I've owned and worked on for ~6 years), it's my current comic- Transmigrant's Redemption. I'm not really good at making comics/stories and tend to lose track on what I'm doing. Yet with this one I've managed to make the full story in my head and wrote it all down so I don't lose it- as well as studying how to make comics..AND animation (which I plan to make at least 1 of within this series!). I'm really excited to make this comic complete <3

 

My fangame Pokémon Last Hope is probably my magnus opus

 

Probably the thing I'm most proud of is my anime remix series of stories. What started as a thought experiment has ballooned to a large project--the Johto remix alone was 120 episodes alone, and I'm sure some of the other arcs will be even longer.

 

Ohh… This is quite the easy thing to say. I have a story and art that I love beyond all others! My favorite story would be my fanfiction Ultra Light. It didn't take as long as some others, but I put so much effort into it that I care for it above all else. And my favorite piece of art is Sylvia, my profile picture! It was one of the early art pieces I loved, and for obvious reasons, too.

 

It's technically not an art piece, like it's not a drawing, nor a story, but it's still what I consider as "my baby", the thing I'm the most proud of,

It's a discord bot, yeah a simple program I coded in Python, but it's a bit more than that to me (gosh, I feel ridiculous right now because I'm gonna say some dumb stuff but whatever),

• it's a program, and I love coding (I wanna be a programmer, so yeah),

• and it's the first time I ever felt like something I code was actually useful for a long time span, like usually when I coded something my friends would maybe use it like a week or so, but this bot has been created almost a year ago and the more time passes, the more it's getting useful,
  
  
• it's also the result of nights and days spent coding, solving problems, bugs, thinking of solutions, a total brain puzzle, I can't really explain it but it's just something that feels good to do, creating everything from scratch, seeing my creation working, getting bigger, I'm always working on it, it started as a total bodge and now it's just getting better and better, I'm cherishing these lines of code, maybe to a ridiculous amount (like I even cried once because some nice random person over the internet decided to use a simple mistake of inattention I made to ruin what I did), and I'm just always coming back to this code, improving it, adding new features, or even re-working it completely to make it better
  
  
• It's also related to my drawings, despite being a program, because I drew its icon myself, and it's just the best example of my evolution, the best example of how my art improved, each new icon I made was the one that made me say to myself "Hey, I'm getting better, I'm not still quite satisfied yet, but I know I'm getting closer to do something I can be proud of"
  
  
• it's also what I kinda consider to be my only OC, even though I haven't really decided on what its (or rather his) definitive look, personality (etc.) are like, but I have my ideas about it

So yeah, it might seem like not that much, but it's probably my "ultimate creation", the thing I created that I cherish the most, maybe to a dumb amount, but still, I like it, and I will ever try to improve it, this Snaky, 'cause it's his name, is totally what I consider to be my baby.




( And.... I feel dumb now, even though I didn't say everything it represents to me ;W; )

 

Oh, this is easy to identify for me. My "baby" has to be a novel I've had in my head for about a year, based on characters I've been working on for three years. I'll be writing it for NaNo this year and I'm REALLY looking forward to it. These characters are really dear to me, and are more full and real than anything I've written before. They represent just how far I, as a writer, can go, and I'm so proud of them.

 

I think it’s when I drew a missing from wings of fire. It just looked so good and everyone who I showed it to was shocked since it was a step up from what I normally drew. Those scales were so much work but I loved how it came out.

 

I hope I can finish it this year! I've got the biggest workload I've ever had during NaNo, so we'll see how it goes.
It's possible. I'm a terrible reviser, and my NaNo pieces are always awful in their initial form xD But if I can turn it into something presentable, yes!

In my opinion, coding is something that requires creativity, as drawing or writing does, creativity and technology are two things that can't exist without the other one ^w^ (well, that's just my personal opinion), there's a youtube channel, called The Coding Train, that I watch a lot, which makes a lot of "Creative Coding", and I just love it, it's a true inspiration to me ^w^
And yeah, coding a bot can be like creating an OC sometimes, which is my case here, I'm trying to give as much personality as possible to my bot, giving it its own "identity" ^w^, whether it be by giving it an avatar or by making it say things with its own personality ^w^

( To be honest, I could talk all day about this bot, about coding, and about what these two things represent to me ;W; )

It isn't finished yet, but every step makes me feel more satisfied.

 

My "baby" would have to be my original story series, which I have part of it posted here called Space Warriors, which I'm trying to come up with a more suitable name, but I've spent nearly my entire life (about 11 years) trying to make the story make sense both in my head and on paper and it has now evolved into a story that has basically the same characters as I started with but the story is more ironed out and interesting.
But, to be honest, all of the stories that I've written are my babies, but this huge project is the one that I would consider to be my "baby."

 

I have two different babies. One of them being a series of Pokémon stories that I'm in the middle of writing about what might have happened if Ash had started his Pokémon journey with Giovanni instead of joining up with Misty and Brock. I combine elements from the anime, manga, games, and my own personal ideas, and I'm quite proud of it.
My other baby is basically a Young Justice version of Frozen. I tried really hard to have it be recognizable as a retelling of Frozen, but still be seen as its own thing, and I'm really happy with it.
(And when I eventually get around to writing my own original story, I'm sure that will be my baby too)

 

My baby is whatever I'm currently writing. I seem to have a weird thought process as when I'm writing the story, I'm in love with it and think its the best thing I've ever written. However afterwards, my perfectionism kicks in, I see all of its flaws and like it less. Then I move on to the next series I adore. I don't see this as a bad thing. It allows for self reflection of my work, and prevents me from becoming blinded, so I can improve my stories later on. The only thing I'm actually sad about is the fact that my 'baby' isn't as good as it could be.
