I had a wip I never really picked back up. It was going to be a huge Totoro picture and the size was 4000x4000. I just didnt like how it was turning out and decided not to finish it so forever a wip it will stay. other than that i have no other wips because im the most uncreative person you'll ever meet and i only have an original idea once every 600 years.

To be honest, I have a lot of ideas, lots of projects, that I want to do, but I'm always forgetting them, and when I'm looking for something to do I don't have any idea x) (I should really note them somewhere)

But I guess I can at least list a few ideas I have that I remember but that I'm too lazy to do x,3:
-So, first of all, some kind of reference sheet for my fursona
-I also have a drawing that I promised to make for a friend, it's been three months and I haven't started it (I feel like an horrible person ;-; )
-I had the idea to make a de-make of a game I really like, I tried to do it like a year ago but ended up giving up (or rather forgot about it, to be honest)
-I have to make a new icon for my discord bot
-I want to try to make a twitter bot, but I need an idea of what it would be like
-I really want to re-do my website, to make something good for once (but gosh, I don't really like HTML and I have a total hatred towards CSS x3)
-I wanna draw Best Floofy Boy forever :3

The Cat Bus! You could try making a smaller picture and redraw it just to get your ideas down and then it might be easier to finish the piece!

oh :( I suppose when you lose motivation during a wip, the only options are to struggle through or take a step back and sometimes it’s a lot healthier to do the latter

Oh, geez. Wips? Umm... I have too many to count, from sequels to prequels to character designs to plot. Everything for at least 30 or so stories all wips because I can't really do anything on them at the moment, and most of those are rewrites and cleanups of stories I've already done. As for art wips, only two or so. I'm no good at art, and so I simply do it on the side when I have the time or want to learn art. But, yeah... that's all I have... I hope I can shorten that list soon.

I think the one work in progress that I have is my original story that I haven't gotten around to starting to write yet. I've got the characters figured out, and I know that I'll just end up developing them more as I write, but the world building, that's where I really struggle. I've never really done world building from scratch before, and I feel like I have a lot less than I do, or that it's not an original idea.
My story basically takes place in a world where there are three kinds of people, people with magic who are physically weak, people who are almost supernaturally strong, but are extremely sensitive to magic, and the very few people who actually have a combination of both powers.

That’s an interesting concept. Maybe the magic takes up a lot of energy and so the people who have a lot of it end up having less energy for their body to perform other functions? That’s my interpretation but I’m sure you’ve got a more developed explanation lol

One of my biggest works in progress is a story that sort of revolves around a girl who has no limits to her powers (compared to everyone around her that's gifted), and it is sort of her savior. When her parents and her are captured and injected with a virus that allows another being to be in their mind, but inside the mind of the girl is someone her age who is like her. Looking for a way out. So they have to resort to what the main character's body can do and find a way to restore the balance and let everyone be free.

Hmmm I think I understood but to confirm...A girl's thoughts inhabit the mind of the main character, who has unlimited power? So it's like having the ultimate tool and they both have to figure out how to use it in order to set others free?

Yes. In all basics. Main character has her own train of thought, but now she's got another girl her age's 'spirit' if you will in her. Like they created a needle to inject another person into a host. (Much like the Host movie) but this challenge is breaking everyone free and accepting her reality of she doesn't get peace. Both girls are trapped in the one body forever

About a year ago I wrote a few thousand words of a Pokémon OC fanfic which I never got around to showing anyone (well, two secret people in the past few months), but I've already decided before I even showed anyone that I was going to tear that down entirely and rebuild from memory and notes, rather than adjusting every paragraph of what I've written.

I have a lot of characters already planned and now a bit better ironed out (the main protag and main antag especially have been overhauled), but I'm going to keep mostly the same plot so far. I think I picked a pretty good place to decide to reboot: if this was a TV show, I just finished the the Series Premier two-episode special. So I can easily re-write that better, and then pick up the plot in earnest after that!

That’s interesting. I’m sure the narrative will be really cool when you write from two perspectives of the same body!
That’s great! I love hearing about other people’s plans to rehaul their stories. I feel like most stories get torn down and built back at least up a couple times, and it’s cool to hear about the behind-the-scenes. Good luck!

I come up with story ideas all the time, but if I start focusing on an idea that just pops into my head, guess what, the last idea will be abandoned. As such, I have a list of story ideas that I've written down but never got around to writing, because I'm still focused on this one main story that will probably take years to make and don't want to get distracted. Some are fanfiction some are original ideas. All are put on hold.

The one I have the most fleshed out and plan on doing after my main original story is a weird other original story. It takes place far in the future (though not to far) during world war 4. Natural resources are slowing being exhausted and nations fight for the remaining. However, 99% of the story isn't on the planets surface, but in space. The old space stations (of different nations) of earth were slowly converted into huge hulking dreadnoughts filled with all sorts of space weapons and special thrusters that allowed them to travel upper earth's gravity. Also a new type of near infinite energy nuclear reaction powers these thrusters. These hulking space dreadnoughts can easily devastate a nation and nations focus on building them to stay alive. A single dreadnought costs so much to build, and consumes so much resources that a single loss of a dreadnought can almost always severally cripple a nation, and loss of several dreadnought can spell the doom of that nation. The story would follow a crippled orphan girl who can't walk and had her home town completely flattened by dreadnought bombardment, go from being a young girl to being one of the top ace pilots of the newly formed space fighter group. The story would have heavy emphases on her disability and how that has held her back, then go to how she becomes free of all her problems when piloting. I like the idea and symbolism of how someone goes from not being able to walk to soaring above the heavens. (however, I'm aware its going to be very hard to pull it off right and I intend to put in the effort to make it right.) Even though the main character is going to be the main focus (and I only actually have one side character made), I'm going to take full advantage of my physics and astronomy degree to spice this story up with interesting sci-fi, like did you know that the space fighters are going to be 3 f-22 raptor's long and 2 raptors wide? They're behemoths that carry a (form) of nuclear reactor that the dreadnoughts use and with tiny dreadnought thrusters pointed in all directions. Not to mention that all space battles are fought around earth, and never beyond because everyone wants to keep their fleets close to protect their towns from orbital bombardment. The idea is that these fleets are primitive space fairing battle fleets and the designs that lead to their construction (an idea I really haven't seen explored all too much). Its a really interesting idea that I have, and I'm really looking forward to working on it, but I don't want to get too distracted. I've thought a lot of this concept through already, but it will probably be years before I put pen to paper on this one.
Also an idea about world building. There's no such thing as an original world I've sort of accepted this and used it as a spring board for my idea. For one of my original ideas, I took a world I liked and thought fit with what I was building and just made it my own. The way I made it my own was simple, I summed up a world I liked into a single phrase, lets say nuclear post-apocalyptic America. I made that my world but felt it was too similar to the source material (Fallout). So I changed a single word, post-apocalyptic America. Suddenly it wasn't so close. I still thought it bland so I added something else post-apocalyptic hyper-industrialized America with nature reclaiming. Now suddenly its different (although moving away from its source of fallout its stepping on the toes of Neir Automata and the last of us both games I've never played btw). By summing up the world like this I can easily change the entire world with a single word to make it more unique or to fit the theme of my story. When you want to go into more detail, you can work backwards to see what kind of cause and effects that would lead your world towards your phrase and how those elements would effect the current world. This creates your world, your worlds backstory, and the current state of your world. Using you're concepts as an example, lets say you want to make a world with social and political unrest between the three parties. Let's do some world manipulation like I explained, an industrialized world with social and political unrest between the three parties, a non-industrialized world with social and political unrest between the three parties, a non-industrialized world with social, political, and violent unrest between the three parties, or a non-industrialized world with social, political, and violent unrest between the three nations. I just changed a few words yet those words have a profound impact on the world I'm trying to build. Try experimenting on what fits the image in your head, or just throw random words into your world description and see what fits or sticks. Just a tip to try out.

I would read the heck out of that story!!! I’m not too well-versed in physics (chemistry is more my style), but if you ever want some feedback on ideas feel free to PM me.

Ah, I know that feeling. Unfortunately, I'm in far too deep with my current Pokémon story for a rewrite to be easy. Is your story going to be a journey fic or something else?

I'm still plugging away at my Pokémon story right now, slowly but surely. Might be finished before Christmas next year if I'm lucky. In the meantime, I've also started working on something original when I can find some spare time as well.

@Talarc Not quite a journey fic for me. Most of the main characters are going to be indeterminate 19-23 age, and as such, are beyond the particular spirit of competition that is the 10-11 year old kids going for the E4. Some lore-based villainy starts up (though not during the timeline of any game), and important characters end up taking or switching sides. I'm going to try to make it character and development driven (contrary to adventuring and meeting a new one-chapter character every week) with a lesson of "sometimes politics and opinions can split friendships, and you should follow your own heart and mind more than any other person's" as the overarching theme.

Most of the challenge for myself will be maintaining a large cast of characters that is not only psychologically diverse, but also profound and tangible. Not my strongest trait in the past, but I've grown, so I suppose we'll see if I can reach my own standards.

I've recently come up with an idea for a Pokémon story, even though I'm still trying to write my original story and nothing else. Its hard to focus on one story at a time.

The story I came up with isn't a huge epic story, but is instead the everyday life of a very special mystery dungeon style team. Mith and Muith are Mewostic twins, brother and sister that hatched from the same egg. These two are psychically linked and have extraordinary telepathic power to the point where they live their lives in each others minds. Most psychic type twins often have these telepathic powers, but due to how close they are, they eventually lose all sense of selves and become one entity in two bodies. Our Meowstic pair however had a interesting encounter young in their age that separated them long enough as to not suffer the same fate. Now they always live sharing their thoughts, and their minds together but still being themselves and siblings. The story will then focus on how these two live their lives together as an inseparable pair and as they travel the lands in search of the legendary Pokémon they met when they were young. I plan on taking it from the point to where their just starting to adventure all the way to the point they run a guild. I've also planned a huge guild system that I'm quite proud of, but its quite technical and I don't want to bore you with the details.

Its meant to be more a slice of life story than an overarching narrative, but I could go either way. Its really fun to think and work with such interesting character ideas. Pretty sure I wont write it though as I have way too many other stories that are demanding my attention. Just another story to add to the pile, I'll get around to making it...sometime...hopefully not in years. Am I making these things too detailed?
