@Arod @Fchicken77 @ChocoChicken Let's get going! The sun shone down on the plains of Erimia, illuminating a group of four Wanderers on their way towards a town. They had heard rumors of a medallion said to either make the world a paradise or destroy it had been found on the Rainbow Spirit Line. The only problem was where the medallion was; if it was even there at all. Brock of Graystead, or Ace to those that knew him, led his companions along the road. A light brown Wanderer's hat shielded his face from the hot sun, allowing him to see the waving grass and the two Vulpixes running beside him, batting at the long tan cloak he wore. The red plains Vulpix was named Hinata, and the white mountain Vulpix was named Yuki. Ash of Little Glen, or Storm to those that knew him, followed close behind. His faithful Pikachu Tintri peeked out of a pocket in the thick leather jacket his master wore, then curled up in the pocket again. His best friend Serena, or Fox to those that knew her, walked close by alongside her faithful Braxien Krystal. Her outfit nearly looked gold in appearance, and she had often been mistaken for a Legendary or deity by some of the beast peoples. Misty of Willowlake, or River to those that knew her, was nearby Brock, keeping an eye on the map of the world as she walked. The reddish brown jacket and matching leggings she wore were a stark contrast to the gold grass they walked through. "Let's see--if we keep following this route, we should reach the town of Angel Rock in two days." she reported. "This is assuming weather conditions hold steady and we don't run into too much trouble on the way."
A traveler and his Feraligatr were currently on a path to get some berries. The traveler was riding bare back atop his massive Feraligatr. “Alright, lets a take a break.” Bronze said. The massive reptile stopped and Bronze got off. He pulled out some water from his bag and some Oran berries. The Feraligatr’s pupils turned huge in an doarbke manner as he stood up on two legs and stand on his scaley heid. “Here ya go, Bigjaw.” Bronze said as he handed the monster gator a couple of berries. He then gobbled them down in a matter of seconds since his mouth was so huge. Bronze chuckled and took a bite out of one of the berries.
@Arod Serena noticed a big man feeding a Feraligatr some berries in the distance. She couldn't resist smiling at the massive alligator Pokémon's joyful expression as she continued onward with her companions.
Wow, actual people. Bronze hasn’t really see those in awhile. “Hola, how are y’all doing?” Bronze called out.
“I’m heading to Waterstone Town to deliver some special berries.” Bronze said. “Me and Bigjaw may also go looking for some battles to keep the blood pumping.”
@Arod "We're on our way over to Angel Rock." Serena explained as the others joined her near the tree. "We're just a merry band of Wanderers seeking out adventure."
A white-feathered taka walked into a library. She went to the section labelled "Magic" and placed her finger on a dusty book. Next to her was a Blaziken, simply following along. "This should be useful." She muttered to herself. Farrah decided to read the book outside. It was nice to read in nature once in a while. She walked along a paved path and saw four travellers walking in the opposite direction.
@Fchicken77 The book in question was a book about one of the more sacred Taka traditions--the spirit walk. Every year hundreds of young Taka set out on the spiritual journey to manhood or womanhood--and many returned with magical abilities.
(@Fchicken77 Should Chris and Farrah be siblings in this universe or not? Your call.) Not too far away, a young Taka boy held up his flute, checking it for damage. After being satisfied that it was fine, he placed it back in a small case for safekeeping.
(@ChocoChicken I don’t see why not.) “Interesting...” Farrah muttered softly to herself. She wondered when she could embark on the journey herself. Although she was already 17, she spent most of her time indoors studying. (Also, what powers do the solar and luna clan specialise in?)
Seeing his sister across the village, Chris - still holding his flute case with both hands - quickly made his way across, slowing to a walk as his Fletchling partner followed him, waving a hand to let her know he was there.
Farrah looked back to see her brother. She closed her book and got up, but didn’t walk. The taka wanted to inform her brother about the spirit walk, seeing as he turned 13 a few months ago (if Chris’ birthday is the same as yours), which was the age that most takas embark on their journey.
(This is probably a really stupid question, but siblings come from the same clan, correct? If so, how about Wind clan since that's the only element our characters agree on? @Fchicken77) Slowing his pace, Choco stopped by the other Taka. "So, how's everything going so far, sis?"
(I was thinking either the Solar or Lunar clan, as Farrah is now elementless in my AU.) “It’s fine. I guess.” Farrah said. “I also have something to tell you. It’s the Spirit Walk. I think it’s about time you start...no...we start.”
(If Farrah is elementless... wait, what AU? We can continue this conversation in PMs so not to annoy everyone else.) "Spirit Walk?... Yeah, I guess..." Choco looked away for a moment as the Fletchling perched on his head. "You think we're ready, though?"
@ChocoChicken (Blood siblings typically come from the same clan, but adopted siblings can come from different clans)
(Understood. Thanks for the help!) The Fletchling trilled a little from his position, its warble cut off as it began preening.
@ChocoChicken As the group of Wanderers neared a village, Serena could see a pair of Taka in the distance. They seemed to be talking about something, but she knew well it was bad manners to eavesdrop.
