I have been playing Pt for some time and think that the 4th gen is a retelling of the bible, subverted in various ways.

-Lucas/Dawn is introduced to Pokémon Battling by Barry. Jesus is introduced to salvation by John the Baptist.

-Lucas/Dawn is told by Professor Rowan to catch every Pokémon in Sinnoh. Genesis 1: 28 tells to rule over the animals.

-Lucas/Dawn clears the Galactic Eterna HQ of the grunts, akin to Jesus clearing the temple of false believers and mercahnts.

-Cyrus's Team Galactic, a cult that believes the world must end, despises Lucas/Dawn and his/her doings. Judaism leaders at their time, despite believing in the same Revelations and Rapture, villainizes Jesus and claims he must die.

-Lucas/Dawn and Looker(International PD officer) head to Galactic HQ to stop Cyrus. Romans head to Galilee to arrest Jesus and his followers. Jesus does not stop them, and like that, Cyrus lets you go your way and free the legendary Pokémon.

    -You get 7 badges before Cyrus initiates his world-ending plan. 7 seals are broken in the bible to bring in the end of the world and Rapture;

-After the 1st gym, Team Galaxy begins their plan by trying to steal experiment results from Rowan and hijacking the power station. The 1st of 7 seals is Conquest: taking over things claiming it is for a bigger peace.

-After the 2nd gym, you fight through a lot of Team Galaxy's grunts. The 2nd seal is about War: taking down those who oppose you en masse.

-After the 3rd gym, you stumble upon Hallowed Tower, a towered graveyard. The 4th seal is death(I know it kinda sounds wrong but bear with me).

-In the 4th gym, you reach Veilstone City, a place that drain you of money on Casinos and the mall. The 3rd seal is famine, not having what you need and being taken of your resources(4th and 3rd change there).

-After the 5th gym, a bomb blows up in the Safari Zone by a loyal Galaxy grunt. The 5th seal is about the cry of Martyrs who died for a cause.

-After the 6th gym, another bomb explodes at Lake Valor. The 6th seal talks about a devastating earthquake that scares the people.

-After the 7th gym, Cyrus begins his world-ending plan. The 7th seal is about God hurling all the rage of the fallen onto Earth, beginning the end of the world.

-Jesus and Cyrus dies(goes to Giratina's hell) for a new world they both wanted.

That’s actually an interesting theory, I never thought about it like that

This actually isn't uncommon in much of today's media; I wouldn't expect Pokémon to be immune to it either. It does in fact present an "unbeliever's" (especially a secularist's) perspective on Jesus' mission, as well as their view on the Judeo-Christian God - different from, say, the likes of Final Fantasy VII or Persona 3, but their view nonetheless. And given how prevalent Buddhism and (though declining) their native religion Shintoism, as well as the Japanese attitude of xenophobia, this result was to be expected.

In short, it's a cultural clash.

A lot of these are really a stretch, enough that I'd mark most of it up to be coincidence, though the constellation does look largely the same. The biggest fault in this is: who is the analog of Jesus? You or Cyrus? The perspective changes.

First part of this is suggesting Cyrus is the Jesus character. The Romans try to arrest Jesus, he allows himself to be arrested. But in the game, it's Jesus that lets you and Looker (the Romans?) get away? This would only be a valid line here if either you allowed Cyrus (if he's the Romans) to arrest/kidnap/capture you, or if Cyrus (if you and Looker are Romans) allowed himself to be captured. In the bible, a person allowed himself to be arrested, in this game, nobody got arrested and somebody was instead let go, while who-is-who is inconsistent. This does not compute.

Two similar bombs have two entirely different meanings: the safari zone being (almost) bombed and Lake Valor being bombed, one is about martyrs dying for a cause they believe in (nobody died at the Safari Zone, the bomb never went off iirc and the dude who set it ran away when he was seen) and the primary victims of the Valor bomb were Azelf (not a martyr), various Magikarp (weren't fighting for a belief), and I guess people in Sunyshore who are concerned about the bomb that went off a few miles away but are still going about their lives?

Similar with other seals. When aren't you waging War against galactic and clearing them out of places? When hasn't there been an active theory that the world will end sometime in the next few years? How is battling equal salvation? When have we not been encouraged to rule over every animal? I admit there is a lot of similarity in the general progression, but I'll just as soon say that it's a single storyboard writer trying to sneak in a project without telling anyone as it is pure coincidence.

Thanks for your opinion, you've helped me a lot.
For Cyrus and your player character/trainer, I'd say it's something like Far Cry 5: You are the Savior. The villain is a false savior, and a really false one at that.

That still doesn't satisfy me: if that was the intention from the beginning of the game's plot (and especially its storyboard writing), then the divide would be more consistent: if Cyrus is the false Jesus, then why is he being cleared out of marketplaces bases like real Jesus, or being sought out by Romans you and Looker like Jesus? If the Jesus character is the player character, then why was I never arrested/kidnapped and almost got to meet the creator (or even my human father)? On that angle we could almost say the Lake Trio are Jesus (they were captured and sacrificed (well, almost killed)), but then why are they not the H3 instead of collectively only one third of the trinity? If anyone is going to be an analog for a character in the bible, then they should be an analog for a character in the bible, not a selfish Jim Jones or apocalypse-prevention hero. It seems like you're connecting dots that aren't meant to be connected, and with that drawing a cloud that looks like a rabbit if you glance at it quickly, but is really just connected dot lines that are somewhat cloud-like. On that note:

Even Far Cry 5 didn't take a 1:1 like this. Joseph Seed was, if anything, a totally accurate prophet who (maybe caused, maybe just predicted) the end of the world. He was not a good prophet, and Jesus would probably want to shoot the guy himself, but that doesn't make you, the guy who did shoot the (bad) savior a lot, into Jesus either. It just makes you a random non-believer who won't make it into heaven because you were or weren't a sacrifice by fire.

I do want to make something clear here: while I don't believe that this is an accurate theory, I do think it's really freaking cool, definitely worth putting into an alternate Pokémon Fanfic if you or someone else has the time and energy. Seven seals lines up with Eight badges very well, Elite Four lines up with the four Horsemen (AKA the first four seals, which could be kept separate) really well, and adapting the story probably wouldn't be hard and could be made much more convincingly.
