You know those small rodent Pokémon you always find in the early routes of any given Pokémon game, like Rattata or Zigzagoon? Well, the Meroi region needs at least one evolution line that fits that archetype, and this is the thread to discuss what kind of rodent we want.

Ermines are cute but they are not rodents if we are specific. Though honestly this should just be small, early road mammals since some of the older gens buck the rodent trend too.

another thread another 30 minute concept sketch Spoiler so i was really interested in the stout (ermine) creature linked above and as i read seeing its significance in irish mythology as a creature who held rituals for the dead and would die before ruining its white coat theres no way i dont want to capitalize on that so somehow i drew a stout but its an exorcist now because that concept is banger to me this is more of a final evo thing ig?? the pre evo should look completely normal and then BAM it loses its normal type and is now a really cool ice/ghost type (ice to reference its white coat which is the stouts color in winter and ghost because..... ghosts). it has a key it believes to be full of an energy to ward off mean spirits so it can help those who have moved on cross over and its a very reclusive Pokémon?? idk i just really REALLY like this concept what other region has an exorcist weasel
I am all for wise elder ermine. Not sure about the key, perhaps an ice mirror? Mirrors are often used as tools against spirits or to find spirits.
