Group RP Pokemon Legends: The Phoenix and the Demon Emperor (IC thread)

It's been about two weeks since Kaede Yukimura, a young girl from the future, got stranded in this era of Ransei. Well, in Aster Village, to be exact. She had since picked up her pace through Golden Mountain City where she met this warrior from Braviary Blades named Hideki Mori. He also helped her trying various weapons out, eventually settling down with a spear.

Recently, both Hideki and Kaede could be seen soaring in the sky with Kaede riding on Keito, Hideki's trusty Pidgeot. And Hideki himself? He practically flew on his own like, well, Superman. They were heading southwest from Illusio, passing by Violight and Greenleaf. Why? Because according to Kaede's dream and Hideki's job description, the shrine maiden Mio had been waiting for reinforcements at the True Sun Village in Aurora.

About half an hour later, the teenagers finally arrived at the True Sun Village. They landed in front of a local shrine because hey, that's where shrine maidens are usually at, right?

 

(Welp, aight. I kinda thought of canon Ransei until you said that tbh. )

 

(Aaand big welp. It'll be harder for Kaede to adapt because the Ransei in her original timeline is as canon as Conquest goes.)

 

In light of the job request posted at his school, Makoto Yuki had to walk to the village from Sunset Harbour. The job was supposed to be a great addition to his academic record as it involved some kind of hero work, although he could care less about being a hero. But hey, if it meant he could learn on the job, he couldn’t complain.

It had been a long trip for him, and not just because he had to cross a good part of the land to get here, but because from the time he left Sunset Harbour, he was accompanied by a certain auburn redhead who liked following him around. The moment Kotone Shiomi found out he had applied to this job at school, she applied for the same one. Against Makoto's hopes, Kotone actually got accepted, so that meant it was the constantly smiling girl trying her best to make him smile. He hadn't said much throughout the trip, as Kotone did all the talking. And as well, her Bellossom, Belle, seemed just as eager to talk.

"Look! We're finally there!" Kotone said.

Makoto only nodded.

 

(I gave it some thought and decided to do a quick name change)

While Makoto stayed where he was, silent as usual, he wasn't surprised that Kotone stepped forward first. "Nice to meet you! I'm Shiomi Kotone, from Gekkou School in Sunset Harbour. I'm here because of the job posting you put at our school. Thank you for the opportunity!" Kotone stood straight and then bowed. After standing up, she then picked up her Bellossom. "And this is Belle!"

Makoto stayed quiet. He secretly rolled his eyes, knowing that the main reason Kotone was here was because he himself applied for this job. Kotone just wanted to follow him around.

 

While waiting for the shrine maiden to come out, Kaede had been absentmindedly doodling a map of her home region on the ground with a random stick nearby. The Ransei of her own timeline is a big island resembling Arceus with the smaller ones scattered between its "mane" and "back" (represented as dots in the doodle). But to Kaede, this version of "Ransei" geographically resembled modern Kanto with so many kingdoms being Thanos'd out from existence uncharted in her memory yet: Nixtorm, Dragnor, Valora, Avia, Yaksha, Viperia, Terrera, Chrysalia, Pugilis, and Ignis. That, and not to mention geographical oddities in the remaining kingdoms: Cragspur separating Greenleaf and Fontaine instead of being far away from them both, Hikari being a plateau instead of a cluster of small islands, etc. Just how messed up could this be anyway?

As for Hideki, he simply had a good look around the shrine. He saw two more people coming whom he first dismissed as visitors only to be debunked by the time Mio asked who they all were. "Mori Hideki and Keito at your service. The Braviary Blades sent me for this job," the young man and his Pidgeot bowed. After standing up, he then turned to Kaede who was still doodling on the ground.

"Yukimura!" Hideki called out, beckoning Kaede to come closer. Luckily for him, that alone was enough to snap her back to reality. Hideki then turned back to Mio and gestured at Kaede, "And this lady here is Yukimura Kaede. Dunno how or why, but seems like she comes from another timeline."

"Nice to meet you all, everyone," Kaede smiled at everyone there. "I once had a weird dream about this back home. And the next time I woke up, I'm already here," she explained since Hideki had already mentioned her coming from another timeline.

 

"Please do," Hideki said before taking Kaede's hand and following Mio inside. And as for Keito, she decided to stay outside because apparently the doorway was too small for a Pidgeot.

 

Kotone and Belle both gave Makoto a glare because he didn't bother introducing himself when he had the chance, and instead opted to stay quiet. "Come now, Mako! You should have at least said your name!" Kotone said. She locked her free arm with his and pulled him inside, with Belle in her other arm.

 

Hideki solemnly nodded and Kaede covered her mouth. According to the history lessons the latter had, Nobunaga was the evil warlord from Dragnor. But with Dragnor being Thanos'd out from existence Dragnor's location technically being unknown to the kid, what could his apparent role be here?

Either way, Kaede silently hoped that none of her actions would significantly alter Ransei's history. I mean, her home timeline was set centuries after the Unification War and it had been so peaceful since then. Too peaceful, even.

 

Kotone and Makoto had learned enough of the Unification War at school to now what Mio was talking about. Although Makoto took it more personally, as his parents had died in the previous war. He stayed silent, however, as Kotone - as usual - spoke instead. "That's a bad sign if Nobunaga is on the rise again! We should probably investigate what's going on!" she said, with Belle seconding Kotone's opinion with a raised stubby arm.

 

(Welp, aight. Done editing some posts up there. I'm just hoping to see a map of it in the OOC thread...)

 

(Ah, okay.)

"That said..." Hideki turned to the redhead girl with a Bellossom on her lap. "Where should we start from?"
