Group RP Pokemon Legends: The Dark Zodiac (IC thread)

Oyama Fumiko

It's not just the master of The Path of the Legendary Lands who had died in the hands of the Dark Zodiac. A warrior in his early twenties, Oyama Natsu, and his Lucario were also killed during the onslaught. This spurred his younger sister, Oyama Fumiko, to be an impromptu detective. "Impromptu" because she hadn't even dreamed to be one when she was a kid. Together with her Hawlucha and Natsu's Decidueye (Luchabull and Junaiper, respectively), Fumiko started her own research on who might be responsible for her brother's death, eventually leading her to Pure White Village.

Kokuo Nagisa

Meanwhile, on the other side of the village, Kokuo Nagisa and his Smeargle, Emina, had just finished a mural on a villager's outer walls. He had no qualms about painting murals as long as he's getting paid for it. That, or it's for an emergency, though his "emergency mural" looked more like a messed-up, vandalized version of graffiti than a mural.

While he's at it, Nagisa decided to ask his current client about the Six Guardian Spirits. He opened up a scroll with his own take on the group painted on it: a phoenix, a dragon, a Raikou, a Delphox, a Beautifly, and a Deerling, all drawn with black outlines. He also wrote "The Six Guardian Spirits" under the whole drawing to avoid possible confusions.

 

"Ruby Phoenix and Golden Delphox, right?" Nagisa signed after passing his scroll to Emina. "Have you -- or anyone -- actually seen them?" he asked the client.

Little did he know that Fumiko (who had just arrived at the village) was listening to the conversation. The Six Guardian Spirits? What's with them anyway? she mentally wondered.

 

Luckily for Nagisa, his hearing was still A-OK despite his muteness, so this info would still be handy for him. He thanked the woman with sign (after getting paid, of course) and walked away with Emina who had already finished rolling the scroll by then.

Fumiko though, was still curious. So she decided to tail Nagisa for now.

Kadae Sen

The village had been the first one she'd seen all week. She smiled as she trudged towards it, careful to mke sure her sharpened scythe did not scrape anything it was meant to. When she set out on her impromptu journey she had no real plans as to where to go. Just a direction and a wipl. And while she didn't mind living it rough it was a blessing to see civilization again. Her two Pokémon shared the sentiment, seemingly cheering as they neared the city gates.

But now that she was in though, she was lost. It looked way different than her old town and she wasn't sure where to begin exploring. Going off the same idea as last time she picked a direction and walked. Hopefully she'd encounter a market place soon.


Mizushima Tokujiro

The journey was rougher than Tokujiro had expecting (how was he supposed to know Sevipers made their homes in the tall grass?) But eventually the young mage made it to the village. He heard rumors that the Guardian Spirits lived here and he was here to make his case to join them as a warrior!

He fixed his pack, making sure that his partner Phione was resting soundly and wandered the villagem Surely someone as powerful and important as the Guardian Spirits would stand out easily and hed be able to impress them just as well!

Both Nagisa and Fumiko was taken aback by the enthusiastic citizens. "Eeeh? Ruby Phoenix?" Fumiko squealed when a random citizen told her about whatever was happening. "That's right, miss. Him and Golden Delphox are in town now. Don't wanna miss 'em out~" they briefly explained before making a mad dash to the town square. Fumiko turned to Luchabull, then to Junaiper, and soon followed the crowd when both Pokémon gave her a nod.

Little did she know that it was Nagisa's turn to overhear that. Speaking of the devil! he mentally mused as he made his way to the town square.

Sen was stopped by the sound of the bustling and enthusiastic villagers. She was confused, did she come during a festival time? She asked a nearby civilian what was going on. "Ruby Pheonix and Golden Delphox are holding a show! You don't want to be late!" Hm. Interesting. She knew vaguely about them and didn't know they performed as well. Maybe she should take a peek, if only to see those heroes in action.

Tokujiro was in a similar state. His eyes shone when he heard that. Yes! He was right! They were here in the flesh! Performing? Well, he was skilled on his flute, maybe he should enchant them with his excellent playing as well. Wouldn't that be a treat!. He made his way towards the Town Square, barely stopping until he made it. He squeezed in between all the peasants, trying to get front row seats to see the spirits

 

As soon as Nagisa could see the stage, he was shoved to his side by someone trying to squeeze into the crowd. If he weren't mute, he would've yelped at the first push. Instead, he turned to whoever had pushed him aside and angrily signed, "What the heck is that!?"

(I'm leaving who had pushed poor Nagisa up to interpretations. But one thing for sure: it wasn't Fumiko.)

He was so close! Tokujiro could see the crowd thinning and the two performers on stage. Just a little more to the front seat!

Suddenly he was facing another boy almost his age, angrily making hand gestures at him. At first he was confused. Who was this weird dude making weird motions at him? Until he belatedly realized that he was signing. Unfortunately he didn't get any of the characters. Whoops.

"Uh, what? I didn't catch what you were signing." He said, a little irritated. It must be important to make him get his attention like that.

 

Oookay, now that's awkward. At least the other guy knew that Nagisa was signing. Otherwise, he would've struggled to get his notebook and write on it. Plus, Nagisa could've repeated his angered signing earlier, but now that he's calmer and managed to stand up, he decided to rephrase it instead: "I was mad when you pushed me like that, sorry."

 

(I'm ready. Don't really think Nagisa's interaction with Tokujiro would affect the show anyway.)

"Huh." And that was all there was to say. "Sorry I guess." Tokujiro didn't really see why he got stopped just for that. No one else seemed to complain.

Not really sure what else to do he just turned away from the signing boy and to the stage. He didnt want to miss the opening act looking somewhere else.

 

(Eh. No need to be sorry. Just take your time, okay?)

So the other guy had decided not to make a fuss of this minor inconvenience and turned his attention to the stage. Nagisa too, turned his attention to the stage with Emina riding on his head. The show was about to start, after all.

Same goes with Fumiko who somehow managed to get lost of Nagisa's track. She ended up getting herself comfortable with Luchabull riding on her head. Junaiper? He simply stood by her side.
