Gen 2 Marine's Silver Nuzlocke

Here we are again. My name is Marine and I live in the sleepy town called New Bark City. Nothing really happens here. Aside from Professor Elm messing something up again. Well, this is how it used to be but today, I was asked to run an errand for the good man and it completely changed my life as I had known it.

Nuzlocke rules:
- Can only capture the first Pokémon per area. If I fail to catch it, no Pokémon for me.
- If the first Pokémon I find is a duplicate of one I already have, it won't be counted as my first encounter. (Dupe clause, also will count for Pokémon of the same line.)
- Each Pokémon must be nicknamed.
- If a Pokémon faints, it's considered dead and MUST be boxed, never to be used again.*sniff*
- Healing items are allowed.
- Shiny clause! If I find a shiny, I can catch it no matter what. But it is highly unlikely, sadly.
-I may use the Exp. Share only when training Pokémon up to the lowest leveled poke in my party after I lost one.
- If all Pokémon faint, it's game over. If I have backups in the box, however, I can put them in my team to use until all backups are gone.

Starting the Game

Yay, I am getting my starter! Without tens of thousands of tutorials. I decided long ago that I would pick my favorite Johto Starter.

Starter: Mint the Chikorita Male, level 5.

The road to Mr. Pokémon was boring. But on the way back I encountered my rival, Silver. I remember when I had no idea what he was called. That was a weird time.

After that, I went back on the road to Violet City.

Route 29

Did you know that this is the only route in Johto that you can catch Sentret on in GSC? And guess what my encounter was. A Pidgey. Nah, just kidding it was a Sentret and I am so happy with my little Cerise. NOthing else of importance happened.

Route 30

I found a Weedle that I called Dixit. Not something really worth it, but I will keep it on my team for now.

Dark Cave

AH< I FOUND A GEODUDE. Onyx will be really helpful in the upcoming three gyms and I will try my best to keep her alive so she can prove herself.

I forgot that I had an encounter on Route 46, so I am backtracking a bit to grab that encounter real quick.

Route 46

Spearow joined the team. His new name is Mr. Seven. Whelp, time to go back to Route 31 and get the encounter there.

Route 31

A Pidgey joined up. Her name is Ms. Wings.

Nothing much really happened until I reached Violet City. I have a good team for now, and I will need to train them up a bit before tackling the Bellsprout Tower and the Violet Gym.

Bellsprout Tower

Dixit the Weedle evolved during the small grinding montage and is now a Kakuna. I decided to do the rest of the grinding in the bellsprout Tower and there I encountered Whiskers the Rattata. She was sent to the PC though as my party is already full.

VS. Falkner

It was a clean set of fights. Onyx managed to hold the line really well and Ms. Wings and Mr. Seven jumped in when they needed to. I gained the Pokémon egg and decided to leave Ms. Wings in the PC for now, so I could hatch the egg.

Route 32

I caught the most adorable Mareep that is called Boobaa. I hatched the egg and Togepi is now in the box, while Boobaa is in the party. I have had a few near death experiences with Mint and Cerise, but they pulled through. Also, Dixit evolved into a Beedrill. Sting, sting, people.
