I absolutely love this idea. I was genuinely surprised that they made something so not Pokémon into a main series game, it looks awesome and quite fun.
Judging by what they have shown in the trailer, it seems that we can travel between islands via Mantine surfing so I guess we can expect to have water routes. *flashbacks to Hoenn* Since they're adding more Ride Pokémon, I wonder if Diving will be brought back...?
One of the competitor's names better be Mario This is certainly going to be interesting. I like the idea of Diving, maybe with Sharpedo? #MissingNo
I really love this idea of the Mantine Surf! Between that and Lillie, it really makes me wanna get Ultra Moon when it comes out XDXD I like the idea of there being a possible Diving function, with a mon like Sharpedo or even Mantine again being rideable! There's a lot of potential for this feature, it's so cool!
I entirely second...basically all of that tbh Mantine Surf is cool, the idea of Diving is cool, but Lillie returning might be my favorite part. and of course hau is coming back too i guess
I would love to be able to pick between a few ride Pokémon, maybe you can choose Mantine, Sharpedo, etc. Get fast swimming Pokémon options.
It's basically what we saw in the Mantine Surfing trailer. Jumping over waves and doing tricks for points until you reach the goal. It was a fun little distraction in Yellow version, which sadly had no prizes to give out for getting a high score... Hopefully, US/UM's surfing mini-game will have prizes.
This makes me really excited to see what other new ride Pokémon we might have. I wonder what the points are for with Mantine surfing as well... maybe if you earn a lot of them you can get a poke dollar reward or something.
