"Some time later, a second ship came to the island en route to the king and our hero again told Fiona that he wished to see his father." Serena continued her tale. "Fiona turned him into a Venonat again, and our hero arrived in Kanduin undetected."
So she smuggled him in? Evergreen asked. "Sure looks like that," Maria muttered. She could not finish this food.
@122 Generation "After the vessel arrived in the kingdom, the sailors told the king about the wondrous Parchirisu they had seen." Serena continued. "The king wanted to visit this fabled city but was talked out of it when the two sisters and Barbara ridiculed the sailors' story and spoke themselves of a greater wonder - of thirty-three handsome young knights, led by Manaphy, rising from out of the raging sea. Our Venonat-hero became quite angry with the women, and bit Barbara again before flying back to the island."
[Now I'm more confused as ever who the hero is,] Evergreen remarked. Her soup wasn't going cold, and Maria ordered a round of stew for Evergreen. For Maria herself, she was having trouble stomaching the platter she had eaten.
"Ok.." Seline entered, and looked over the wares. "Um, I have a question.." She timidly approached the shopkeeper. "I currently weild a Status Staff but my skills mostly range on healing with a good attack here and there. Any advice on a nicer staff? I believe mine got a nasty crack.." Seline frowned, noticing a few chips in her staff.
@Shadria "Staves are over here, miss." the smithy showed Seline to the mage and cleric section, where a variety of beautiful wands and staves were on display. @122 Generation "Need to be filled in on the tale so far?" Ash noticed Evergreen's confusion.
@122 Generation "It is..." Ash replied. "Basically, it starts out like your average 'Taiyou and Tsuki' tale, where the king overhears three sisters talking about what they would give if they married the king, and the youngest promises him an heir."
@122 Generation "Of course." Ash replied. "This made the elder two jealous, so they replaced the royal messenger's note with a fake note saying the baby had been stillborn--a bad omen in that land. The king, when he saw the fake note, ordered the young queen and her baby closed up in a barrel and put out to sea, but Arceus, in His mercy, guided the barrel to what is today the Alora Islands." (Alora--Alola in Chiron)
That's pretty cold of the two sisters. Jealousy is so overrated. So the youngest sister..: no, never mind. How did this relate to the three knights? Sorry, I just want to catch up with tr story, Evergreen said. Her telepathic thoughts lowered just enough so she wouldn't disturb the patrons.
@122 Generation "Then the boy saved a Swanna named Fiona, who had magical powers." Ash continued. "The prince and his mother made themselves at home on the island. Then one day, ships from his homeland came, and that was where you guys came in."
@122 Generation "Once home, he told Fiona about Manaphy, the Prince of the Sea, and the thirty-three knights, and lamented that he had never seen such a wonder." Serena went on. "These knights are from the great waters that I know. Don't be sad, for these knights are my brothers, and they will come to you." she assures an imagined person as Fiona. As herself, she continued "Later, the prince went back and climbed a tower of his palace and looked out at the sea. Suddenly, a giant wave rose high and deep onto the shore, and when it receded, thirty-three knights in sapphire armor, led by Manaphy, the Prince of the Sea, emerged, ready to serve Prince Garret. They promised that they would protect the city by night, and return to the sea during the day."
