This isn't restricted to USUM, but what was the first shiny you ever caught? And if you haven't caught one yet, which one do you WANT to catch? My first shiny was just yesterday in USUM. I was using the ultra wormhole because reasons, and I found a random, full odds Stufisk.
My first shiny was a Growlithe in W2 game (which I've since lost, rip). I was just training in the Virbank Complex, not thinking much about it, and it suddenly popped up. I was shocked! I named him Alexander and today he sits in my Sun game, soon to be transferred to US!
My first random shiny Pokémon that I ever caught was all the way back when Pokémon Pearl version was still relatively new. I was in the post game, training up my team just north of the battle institute, when all of a sudden, a black and purple shiny Roselia appeared. I didn't know shiny Pokémon were a thing aside from red Gyarados, and thought it was some kind of glitch. But I caught it anyway. Everyone at my high school was extremely jealous. Now it is a shiny Roserade in my Ultra Moon version. Yep, I still have it around. Sadly, it has no nickname, but I typically name it after a Dot Hack character: BlackRose.
First random shiny I found was in Emerald. It was a Baltoy. Caught it and trained it alongside the rest of my team despite already having ground and psychic types in Flygon and Gardevoir. It proved to be very useful and I managed to trade it off to a friend who has pokebank. He held onto it until I got Sun & Moon before giving it back. It's a force to be reckoned with for sure. Earth Power is an awesome special ground attack Over the courses of the later games, I've ran into a shiny a handful of times by random chance. Blitzle in Black, Drapion in Y, Ariados in OR and Pelipper in Sun. Always a nice surprise to see one pop up unexpectedly.
My first shiney was a golduck in black and white. I was walking through some tall grass in the rain and there it was. I totally traded it for a genesect since I wasn’t interested in training it. I also didn’t feel any urge to keep it in my box since I wasn’t interested in Pokémon either. What can I say?? I have strict standards.
In Black I found a Shiny Boldore with a Careful nature. I named it Golius, evolved it by trading, and I still use it today as a defensive support, despite its terrible speed.
Chain fishing nabbed me a purple remoraid in AS, which is now sitting in a box in US as an octillery. I named it Octorok.
The first shiny I ever caught was actually found by my sister. She was playing my copy of Pearl and called me over when she found a weird-looking ponyta. Up until then, I'd only heard of shiny Pokémon existing and had never seen on in the wild, and I instantly freaked out and caught it despite my team being ridiculously OP. The first shiny that I could officially call mine was a sandile I found while grinding during my White Nuzlocke run. She's still sitting in that game since I don't have anything I can use to transfer Pokémon to other games.
I was Pokémon emerald on the GBA searching for a trapinch to transfer over to my white game for a flygon. I walk into the desert go into the sands and after a few baltoy's, the first trapinch I found was Shiny. I freaked out and since I was planning on catching a trapinch already, I was prepared to catch it. Now I have a shiny flygon in my White game. Haven't had the desire to transfer it over to USUM.
My first Shiny was Rayquaza in Sapphire. I wasn't trying to shiny-hunt (I just don't do that), but luckily when I finally caught it after a few dozen attempts and hard resets, that was the one time it was black. While it is awesome, it's slightly less awesome now that there's been an event where Shiny Rayquaza was distributed. On that note, I might actually have two of them... Not including red Gyarados from Silver and SoulSilver, I also have a Manectric from the same Sapphire, a maybe-gamesharked Swablu from SoulSilver, Golurk in Black2, Event Torchic and Beldum in AS, a hacked Ferrothorn and Xerneas I got in wonder trade, and maybe one or two others I feel like I'm missing. There are a bunch that I'd like to get shiny, like Luxray, Lopunny, and Carbink, but I'll probably never go hunting for them and therefore will probably never have them. But I'm okay with that.
My first game was AS. I got other games after, with still no random shinies. One day, during a little trip with a friend, in some people of her family's house, we played a lot, and also while hiding during the night (trying not to make too much noise). I decided to reset and re-do my AS game, because I didn't know what to play. During one of those nights, I was looking for a Pokémon to make eggs hatch faster and randomly got a shiny Slugma! It was so hard trying not to scream, my friend and I were so excited x) I even did a video with my iPad which was nearby to remember that moment. I don't wanna evolve him, silver is so gorgeous <3
My first shiny Pokémon that I had caught myself was a shiny female Bunnelby on Pokémon Y (which I ended up naming Diamond). I wasn't even shiny hunting or anything, I was just playing through the main story while my family and I were driving somewhere for vacation.
My First Shiny (I caught that wasn't like Gyarados or my failed Tentacool) was a Shiny Voltorb through the Poke'Radar in Platinum. I was so ecstatic even though I knew it was a Shiny Patch
A cute Whismur in Sapphire! ...That eventually evolved into an Exploud, which I wasn't too fond of lol. And then I ended up restarting Diamond version anyway where all my mons were to transferred to since I was desperate to replay. oops ;-;/
as sad as it is to say. while not exactly suprising. the first shiny i ever caught in ALL the generations (not counting scripted red gyrados) wasnt CAUGHT but hatched...in the latest gen SUN and MOON. i was breeding my venusaur and out poped a SHiny bulbasaur cute as can be. and then later that same week i caught my 2nd shiny wich was a granbull while i was training that very same bubasaur.
Technically, the first Shiny I ever caught was that Red Gyarados in Pokémon Heartgold. But I won’t count that. My first real Shiny was a Scatterbug in X. And if was after I beat the game too, hahaha. I still have it as a Vivillon. Maybe I should level it up and use it....
does rowlet count if not then it would be pikachu. i almost made it faint before it knocked out my Pokémon, so then i sent out my own pikachu to finish him off when i realized that the opposing Pokémon was darker than the one i put in
