Staff Post Lake Valor Updates & Changes v2

March 9th

We've had a bit of a switch up in our Pokémon sections (unfortunately not an ACTUAL Switch-Up though, RIP Nintendo Direct)!

• PokéPelago has become 3DS Pokémon Games. ALL of the Pokémon games (including spinoffs) that you can play on the 3DS can be discussed here.
• A new section has been created called Classic Pokémon Games. This is for all of the games that you CAN'T play on the 3DS, including spinoffs.
• Pokémon General remains the same, but spinoffs and old games shouldn't be discussed here anymore. Please use the appropriate sections and enjoy!

 

March 10th

Valor Battle has made a temporary return until we can get together a plan of how to properly improve it for you guys. As always, feedback and suggestions are always welcome.

 

March 12

We have some good news! Profile covers have returned for Donators!

That's right, now you should be able to edit your profile cover without any trouble at all. We're sorry about the delay, but as we had to work with third parties to get this fixed, it was out of our hands. In the end our third party was so bad that we found someone else - that's why unfortunately you WILL have to reupload your profile covers.

Still, it's back and we hope you will enjoy.

 

March 20th

Spring has rolled in, and now Rainy Castform can be found! Hail Castform has gone away until next Winter. Remember, these catches count towards your medal!

 

March 22nd

We have some very exciting news for you all! You will now earn 10 PokéPoints for each day you logon to LV. This is to reward users for being an active part of our community, so be sure to come on each day and collect your PokéPoint bonus.

Note: New day starts at 12am, PST.

You also will now earn extra PokéPoints for creating threads. Your PokéPoint totals will also display more accurately so users know exactly how much to spend when they're in the shop.

 

March 24th

We have increased the price of the VIP user group upgrade in the LV Shop. This is to match the changes of increased PokéPoint gain around the site, especially considering we are pondering even more ideas on how to get more PokéPoints aside from just posting. It will be trickier, but not impossible! We also want to make sure folks who donated money to the site to get VIP don't feel like their donations are worth less than the shop item, as we are very thankful to those able to donate physical money towards the sites betterment. For those of you that can't, the option is still there, it'll just require some extra time and grinding.

We also will be adding a new item to the shop soon that we think many of you will be interested in. What could it be? Watch this space!

 

March 25th

The Pokémon Catcher can no longer be turned off, as turning it back on did nothing. We are putting this as our highest priority bug fix and trying our best to make sure this doesn't happen again. If you were affected by not being able to turn the catcher on, PLEASE message me asap.

 

March 26th

We have some incredibly exciting news! You all asked for it, and we have delivered: Shiny Pokémon now have their own special indicator!

When you encounter a shiny out in the wild, it'll have special sparkles around it. Please note this ONLY appears when you're encountering a Pokémon. If you want to indicate it's a shiny in your collection, you should add a symbol to the Pokémon's nickname.

Did you receive a new trophy today? Congrats! We've added a new trophy for introducing yourself and adjusted all of the posting trophies to make them easier (but still challenging enough) to obtain. We hope you enjoy your trophies and the extra points they award!

 

April 7th

• The sections main design has changed to give it a more simple look. This is also in preparation for a future update we are working on, so stay tuned.
• The Music Player item from the shop is no longer able to be purchased as it was faulty. Please sell your item back!
• Donators, you will be compensated for this loss of a benefit with some new donator perks soon.
• The Catcher updated to Gen 4.
• Rainbow Rocket roles and Mew have disappeared.
• Easter Event has ended and Easter Eggs have disappeared.

 

April 11th

@Getus has had to depart from the staff team due to real life obligations. We want to wish him the absolute best going ahead and we all want to show him our thanks for his work on the staff team.

Be sure to go and give him some support.

Lots of sads recently, but here's some happy news! We're happy to announce @❀Bloom❀ is returning to the Super Mod team!

Be sure to give her your congratulations and support.

 

April 13th

- All Treasures have returned to LV's Treasure Store! These nifty items can be displayed on your postbit by the side of all of your posts and also used in Valor Battle. Can you collect 'em all? Click here to check them out.

- Certain rare and exclusive treasures have arrived in the Battle Store.

- The LV Announcer Discord Bot is currently down, we're doing some repairs on it and hope to have it back up asap.

- In other news, after 5 years +, it is time for a change. LV Announcer is now Professor Azelf, your friendly guide Azelf which will be helping new (and old) users around the site. Say hello to your new (old) friend, @Professor Azelf!
