Today I learned that 99.9% of all astronomical research is debugging shotty code and trying to understanding astronomically terrible coding packages.

Today I (re)learned that social media is horrible and should permanently collapse under the weight of all its vitriol.
Today I learned that not everyone shares the same opinions as you. I also learned that even if I understand why not, I don't have to agree with them.

That Avicii died... Honestly it was so unexpected, and I'm really bummed about it. His music may not have been super meaningful or complex, but it was catchy and fun, and there were many times where listening to his albums made me happy when I was feeling down. I just hope he is in a better place now.
