Aera looked at Ashley. "I think they are just trying to set up a deal with us."

She then turned towards Mina and gave her a slight glare. "Look, what you did won't get us off the competition. Sure, we are grateful, but that doesn't give us the option of just giving up our chances to you."

"You are going to regret saying that," Ashton was enraged as he looked like he was feady to attack any minute.

 

(No worries!)

Ashton didn't seem to care that Aera and Ashley were leaving as he immediately focused his magic.

Ashton uses Water Burst... and he succeeds!
Concentrating water into one direction, a bomb of water exploded right beside Aera and Ashley.

"What are you doing?" Mina asked her partner, Ashton. Unlike the latter, she seemed like she wasn't interested in fighting the girls at all.

Ashton looked like he was so annoyed after what Mina had said. "Just don't get in my way."

 

(Here's a list of spells you can use, just in case you've forgotten ^^
Spells:
Water Burst - The user releases water from the ground
Rain Dance - The user changes the weather, forcing it to rain.
Rain Blast - The user gathers rain and shoots it at the opponent that could deal massive damage. (Can only be used when it is raining or raining heavily)
Wave Pulse - The user commands the waves to strike the opponent.)

"Precisely," Aera agreed with what Ashley had said as she prepared herself for an attack.

Aera uses Air Jet... and she succeeds!
Compressing a jet of air, Aera sends it directly to Ashton, dealing massive damage!

The boy fell to the ground, his hand holding his arm, completely weakened. "Tch, you got lucky."

Mina hurriedly came to his side, trying to heal him. When she tried to put her hand on his arm however, her hand was slapped away by Ashton, shocking her. "I don't need your help, traitor," he replied in a cold tone, glaring at Mina. There was an obvious patience in her though as she tried to reply.

"Look, we're still a team, and I have to-" Mina was immediately silenced when Ashton used Wave Pulse on Mina. She was thrown away by the waves that the attack had created. "We aren't a team anymore. I don't need you,"

"How could you do that to your own teammate?!" Aera asked, enraged. She didn't like how Ashton was acting.

 

"Well, you guys need each other. I don't need anyone else." Ashton ran away from the scene, leaving Mina behind. His former ally sighed as her knees fell onto the ground.

"I don't understand him," she looked at the ground with sadness in her face. Aera came closer and gave her a pat to the shoulder. "Same goes for us. For now, we should all stick together."

A silent reply from Mina created a new team.

Mina joined the party!

 

The girls continued to look for a key until they hit another dead end. "Another one. If I had a gold coin for every time I met a dead end in this maze, I'd be rich by now."

Just then, a breeze of wind sent shivers to Aera. She looked around. "The wind is whispering something..." Mina nodded her head in agreement. "Maybe it's because we both have Wind Magic."

 

Aera quickly looked at Ashley, "Oh, I'm sorry. The wind was telling us something about the key being near." She didn't even realize what she was saying at first, but when she did, Aera quickly giddied up. "The key! The key is near!"
