A new card type, Pokémon V, has been unveiled! Starting off with showcasing the legendary Zacian and Zamazenta V, we should be seeing these new card types when Sword and Shield release! Similar to GX and Tag Team cards, V cards appear to be very powerful, but you risk your opponent gaining two prize cards if they defeat your V Pokémon.
Why do I feel like i just watched a trailer for the next marvel film. I wish the trailer had shown what makes these special and different, it had lots of epic music and angles, but I din't understand what made it cool. Granted I haven't followed the TCG hardly at all, so maybe that's why.
That last shot made it look like these new v cards are the tcg version of Dynamaxing. That will be interesting to see.
I know that the card games have to innovate to stay relevant and selling, but with all the different types of cards, I feel like its becoming over saturated. V, X, GX, EX, TAG Team. I don't mind releasing new features, but these new cards are just a little much and make the other Pokémon cards irrelevant.
300+ HP on cards seems very scary. I thought the HP on Tag-Teams were overwhelming, and it seems like the cards don't need energy to attack (I have no idea if they're actually going to require energy or not, but if they don't require energy to attack then that's really scary).
I haven't been following the TCG too much but the power creep it's suffered just seems completely ridiculous from an outsider's perspective...breaking above 200 HP seemed like a bit much for me, but 330?? It's almost like something you'd see from a game a little kid made up on the playground where he tried to make the numbers super super high in an attempt to be as cool as possible. "Yeah, I know your cards having 150 HP is a lot, but wait until you see this- these new cards have over 200 HP! But wait...the ones in a few more years will be over 300!"
I Actually Agree With @BZRich64 When Come To The Last Scene. But Did Anyone Notice Pikachu And Zekrom(A.K.A The Mascot Of Tag Team GX) During That Scene? I Notice Them At The First Look At The Trailer.
