I know a lot of people here own precious animals- dogs, cats, birds other humans so this thread is dedicated to them! Talk about your pets! What are some little quirks they have? How long have you had them? Do you plan to get more in the future?
I have two birds and soon to have 2 snails! My birds are Apollo and Nova and while they aren't very human friendly they like to hang upside down and slide down the sides of their cage like little firemen. They like to chill on my shelf with my books and stuff because its high up and they like being on really tall spaces.
At my mother's place I have two cats: Doris and Amalia. Doris is a grumpy old cat who avoids me like the plague, so I never really interact with him that much. Amalia and I are good friends though, she's cute.
My doggo. Luna is 2 years old. Since privare reasons I see her again nexr week finally She is a happy doggo all the time. Likes to play. And likes people. I heard she finally can look after the house. As she growls when she hears something. She is cute and beautifull. Kind lil crazy
I've got three dogs (two great pyrenees, and one pomeranian), two cats, and a whole bunch of chickens. All of the animals except for the pomeranian are outside pets (the pomeranian is so small that we're worried she'll be carried off by hawks if she's outside). The great pyrenees, Alpha and Theta, are fully grown, but they love to act like puppies. One of my cats, Slinky, is only five years old, but he loves to act like a lazy old man kitty just because he's older than my other cat, Seamus. Seamus is the only cat allowed in the house, and it's only because we all love to watch him play with the pomeranian, Joy. Seamus pretends to act indifferent about Joy, but after she starts jumping on him he puts her in a headlock and starts licking her face. They're really cute.
I own two dogs and two bearded dragons at the moment. All of them are very eccentric and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Tucker is a nine year old havanese that my parents picked up to be my “service dog.” Within a few months he ended up gravitating to my Mom. Now he follows her everywhere and whines when she isn’t around. That doesn’t mean he dislikes me though. If anybody gets mad at me, Tucker will charge at them to protect me (even if they were just raising their voice). He also lays on my lap whenever we’re in a car. Like all of my pets, Tucker has earned many nicknames. “Fuzzy Guy,” “Handsome,” and “Dust Mop” are just a few of them. Mia is an eight year old chihuahua who loves car rides and Starbucks Pupechinos (that is an actual item they will serve if you ask them). She is the opposite of Tucker in that she warmed up to me even though she is supposed to be my Mother’s dog. Mia’s most distinct features are her licking habit and how much she likes to turn her ears. Her nicknames are “Junior,” "Sonar Dog,” and “Ranch Dog.” Gonzales is my oldest bearded dragon. I bought him two years ago after a friend piqued my interest in the species of lizard. He's calm, friendly, and very adaptable. The guy has moved to three different places and didn’t even flinch. I sometimes call him “Gonzo,” “Lizard Man,” and “My Boy.” Plink is the younger of the two bearded dragons. I share her with my Mother, who usually gives me the duty of taking care of her. Unlike Gonzales, Plink is a chonk who will eat anything with zero hesitation or remorse. She is a pure apex predator who still appreciates human attention from time to time. Her nicknames are “Godzilla”, “The Plinkster,” and “Lizard Girl.”
I have a Netherland Dwarf rabbit named Mimic Muffintops. I have nicknamed her Mimi, Memes, and Memer. She is soft, scared, and silly. She's gotten more used to coming to me when I call her name, and she isn't as skittish when I try to scoot her away from chewing on things that she shouldn't be. Normally all I have to do is put a few stuffed animals where she wants to chew, and she never visits that spot again. I still miss having a cat, as they're more affectionate and playful. I'm not really sure how to play with a rabbit, and Mimi despises being picked up or cuddled.
I have two little dogs, a miniature phantom puddle and a toy puddle. The miniature is a phantom so its black and brown while the toy is straight black. They are adorably small and cute. You can hold one of them in your hand and they love to cuddle up with my family. The toy is basically a lap dog while the miniature is an athlete who loves to run and give chase to small animals (despite the fact that the bunnies she chases are almost the same size as her). When we got them as puppies, the smallest toy puddle could sleep in the palm of your hand and it was so cute. Now they are around 16 years old and still going strong. They are being effected by some age related illnesses, but their still happy and full of life.
What pets ;-; I’ve had a few fish in the past, but that had to have been almost 10 years ago. I haven’t had a pet since.
I also had a pet in the past, but that was years ago. Get to watch over the dog of the neighbors though. Pretty nice experience, and it's really a cute dog. Gladly would have an own dog, but my family is allergic to any of their hairs, so that isn't gonna happen soon.
Currently I have two, Izzy the Fluffcat and Zirilan the Fastest Gecko in the East! Izzy is about 9 or so and she is an adorable but devilish kitty. She is the most clever of the 3 cats I have owned and can get into pretty much anything. We play a little game that when I give her treats and then try the hide the bag somewhere while she is distracted. She always finds it and I mean always. Pinned under the computer? Found. Stashed between books? Awkwardly climbed to and pulled out of the books. If she can't get to it she will point it out like a hunting dog and meow at it incessantly. *sigh* I love her, she is just too clever for her own good lol. Zirilan is a tiny crested gecko born in mid April this year. I got him at the beginning of July and I love him to bits even though he scares the crap out of me at times with his breakneck speed and jumps. If he gets off my bed at this size I dont think I could find him again lol he is that small.
