Misty tapped the main mic, just as Ash finished a song. He stepped aside to allow Misty to speak.

"Testing, one, two...can everyone hear me okay?" Misty asked.

Once sure the mic was working, Misty kicked off the meeting. "First of all, thanks for coming to the meeting. You can still get food and drinks while our discussion is in progress."

Misty explains that the Alolan trip will take place at the end of the term in a few weeks, and last until close to the end of June. She explains that many of the clubs have done fundraising, and ticket sales from the play also went towards the trip, so all expenses are paid for up to 150 people.

Ash adds that anyone from any year can go.

Misty next explains the itinerary for the trip--the group would visit all four islands, and see everything that island had to offer. While there were some things the group would do together (such as meals and some planned events), the group could mainly explore the islands on their own.

Brock had some time to spare while the next round of meat cooked, so he joined his unitmates to talk about the region's language and culture, as well as some basic Native Alolan. "Alolans are very proud of their culture and heritage--so much so that almost everything is bilingual in Native Alolan. It's also not unheard of for someone to use a Native Alolan word in the middle of English--a good dictionary or translator app will be your best friend. But most people will be happy to teach you if you ask."

Miracolore talked a little about which airport they would land at, as well as some of what Melemele Island had to offer. Of the planned excursions that everyone would do together, the group would partake in a welcome luau (that featured many of the same food they were eating now, Brock said), tour Hau'oli City's historic district, learn to Mantine Surf, tour the Alolan Museum of History and Lore, take a walking tour to the Verdant Cavern, and tour the Aether Memorial. Misty added that if anyone was interested in learning to scuba dive before the trip, she would open the campus pool for training classes.

Ash added that if you wanted a ukulele as a souvenir, to stay well away from the colorful plastic ones with characters on them--and good quality instruments were not hard to find in any of the islands.

Next, Miracolore talked about each island in turn, and the planned events and excursions waiting on each one--including some live theater in Alola.

The response to the Alolan trip was enthusiastic, and all told, about 110 people signed up to go.

On departure day, all 110 travelers met Miracolore in an activity room for their final instructions before departing to paradise--each one of the travelers had received a selection of Alolan shirts and a name tag to signal they were part of a group.

Not even Miracolore could resist dressing up in Alolan shirts for the occasion. "Okay...the limo service will be taking us to the airport shortly." Brock began. "Once we touch down in Hau'oli City, we'll head for the hotel--since you guys will likely be tired from the trip."
