We're only a couple of weeks into 2020 and we've already had a few reveals and plenty of analyst predictions, but I want to hear your thoughts - what are we going to see this year? What would you LIKE to see? Will we finally get that Nintendo Switch Pro analysts have been predicting will release in the current year since 2017? Is Game Pass coming to Nintendo Switch? Osu- Become more dead Geometry dash- Gets their update delayed longer and the game becomes more dead MC- Grows more popular and than in September the game starts to die Terraria - It gets it last update in March and than I lose my favorite game
I really don't know what to expect from 2020. I just found out a new Atari console is coming out this year, so anything is possible.
I’m super hyped waiting on Ori and the Will of the Wisps. And a couple other titles that I’ll need a switch for
1. The Xbox Scarlet will be completely overshadowed by the PlayStation 5 in terms of sales. 2. A new Shin Megami Tensei 5 trailer will be shown with a vague release window. 3. The 7th mainline Ace Attorney game will be revealed with mixed responses from the fanbase. 4. In the microscopic chance a "Switch Pro" is announced, the specs will be less impressive than expected. 5. A "definitive edition" of Pokémon Sword and Shield will be announced once both DLC packs are released (causing even more controversy between Pokémon fans).
March of this year could be one of the greatest months of video game releases that we have ever seen, but a lot of the future after that is questionable to me (although Final Fantasy VII moving back to April could hurt). Fortunately, we have Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition releasing sometime this year (as of now), but Nintendo in particular hasn't revealed their big holiday titles for later in the year. Here are some of my predictions: - No Switch Pro - Half-life Alyx will be a commercial flop - Themes will (hopefully) be added to the Nintendo Switch - The PS5 won't end up looking like a toilet seat And here are some of my hopes: - Announcement of another Fire Emblem remake (doesn't have to come out this year, I just want news) - PS5 is announced to be $20 - We get more retro Nintendo titles added to Switch Online
Ohhh shiiizzzz I am now hyped. Forgot that was supposed to be 2020. Although didnt they say it would be xbox one exclusive at first?
You both hyped me and made me sad lol As for predictions/hopes: - The PS5 will come out though I will expect callbacks/delays - I hope their talks about a very extensive backwards compatibility will be true this time. I have so many beloved PS2 games. - The switch will have another format release, if not the pro than some sort of lighter but still TV ready model probably. - Though delayed already I think Cyberpunk 2077 will come out on its new expected Fall date. Getting the influx of cash from all the hype the Witcher show did for the games probably just allowed them to add more stuff in and I am always happy to see that.
Handheld games which I know near zilch about aside, here are my predictions for 2020: -Like what Link said, the MC and GD fads will eventually wane down, unless they add more features (but what features? they have almost everything) -A new arcade game would rise to Angry Birds-level popularity, maybe even surpass the current recordholder (Subway Surfers) in downloads -The continued rise of Gacha games, especially for anime series (did you know that Disney has one prepared too?) -LoL Mobile would either be unpopular due to bad graphics or push MLBB out of its top spot, forcing Moonton to make the game better Lastly, everything would have better graphics, but consume more space and data (which is bad news for me ()
