Rise of the Techromancers



~ Before we start I just want to say. What comes ahead is the last Role-play of the Inara timeline. Thank you for being a part of this series. We’ll have to wait for the edge of it all to close the series once and for all ~



The wind blows in the midst of summer. Valheart was walking in the town of Yavalath. Housings made of wood, bricks, and steel stood tall and wide. Admiring the builds as he walked he felt his face itch . Instinctively he goes to itch it to only caress his mask

Sighing after remembering the curse placed on his body he walks into an old store. He gets odd looks as he grabs an apple walks to the cashier and places it on the counter. He reaches for his pouch on his belt and took out three Krems

~ Krems are the currency in the world of Ameterath ~

The cashier gives him a weird look and slides the apple to him taking the money. Valheart takes the apple and lets his cybernetic legs slip from his robe and grab his mask, lifting it revealing lots of the teeth of the mask. A wet ooze drips as Valheart places the apple in the mask. With a crack the legs let go and the mouth goes down like a bear trap. Pieces of apple scatter as water from the apple run down the mask.

Valheart bows as he exits the store with all eyes on him. He twirls his cane around before noticing an old dead tree in the middle of a park. He examines the tree as a squirrel crawls out of a hole and stares at Valheart. Tilting his head Valheart extends his cane as the squirrel crawls up the cane he starts to move around to a large tree sprouted with leaves. He reaches upwards and lets the squirrel onto an area with lots of nuts.

He walks away before hearing a crackling sound from behind him. He turns around to see a squirrels body being hung by a noose . The same tree he just placed a newly found friend on. The tree was spiraling around crackling and popping its branches extending upwards. A hollow mouth breaks out from the tree and a low whisper breaks out.

‘ You’re about to enter a landscape of wretched and trickery. This is a world only for those willing to fight off any machinery that have chosen the path of wrongdoing . Are you up for this task olden adventure? If so, continue on this sunken path of the ages. ‘

Valheart being confused by this tree being able to speak takes a look around to see a sign. He examined the sign and was able to read it. “ Yavalath Ebonstone Park. “ He looks back at the tree to see it was normal once more. The squirrel was picking at a branch. “I must be going crazy.” he mutters before looking away once more.

He shakes his head as he walks away tipping his hat with his cane. Shortly after the encounter with the tree . He starts to hear screams from the town center. He dashes over leaning his body downwards leaning forward to move at a quicker rate and dodge more effectively . He sides to a stop as he sees smoke in the air. He takes out a pocket watch and checks the time and date.
‘ 7/18/69 12: 37 pm’ (18/7/69 you’re welcome to you people not in america)

As he walks closer to the smoke he notices a faint smell of lead in the air “Blood.” he muttered. Walking forward he sees a swarm of drones in the air painted black with red stripes . The swarm took the sky making it hard to see. It was like a giant swarm of mosquitoes with drugs attached to them. They moved all together like a flock of birds seeming to protect one thing. A large boar made of metal. The boar was a large beast its tusks almost revolving around back to its head. It was fierce with a strong set of teeth that could crush through solid steel.

“This isn’t going to go well. . . “ he mutters as he dashes to the side to make it into a building.

* Cozbi

Cozbi woke up and stretched. She was asleep on a park bench, she sat up and looked around seeing birds fly around the sky. She walks around before seeing a man dressed up in a weird outfit. She hides behind a tree to see him walk around aimlessly before continuing to walk in a straight line. She dashes behind the man to an old set of buildings . She slips through a window landing on her feet like a cat continuing to dash. She gets a strong scent of smoke in the air as she slides to a stop near a window. She looks outside to see a large swarm of drones in the air. “What is this . . ?” She mutters as she looks for the person she followed. Slipping out the window and scaling up a building onto the roof.

Looking out to the far she sees a large boar surrounded with drones. A large Wyvern-like droid in the air swirling far behind. Dust was settling as buildings fell.

Valheart while in the building waits for a drone to fly by. He looks around him before sweeping the drone into the building with him and dismantling it. He examines the hardware before looking around the building he swept into. A small store which seemed to be close at this moment. It had a variety of food from bread to meat. It seemed to sell access items at well so he looks around. In his exploration he finds package of magnets, a long and slim metal rod, tweezers, a dead body, a desert eagle with 4 bullets left in the clip . He examined the dead body and pulled some Krems off of them. He walks to the droid once more before extracting the materials in it slowly. He pulls in more drones and breaks them.

Breaking more drones he noticed a light emitting from his lantern. Looking down at it he sees a fuzz in the air around the cracks "That's quite strange." Walking around the store looking for object his lantern gets close to the metal rod. An arch of electricity flies from the lantern to the rod. Valheart admires the arch of lighting. "Magnificent . . . Quite an odd interaction. I must be collecting the watts of the drones as they break. This lantern does make quite the question." As he's admiring the lantern a drone buzzes into the building. It starts to split the bottom of it's body and a small smg is pulled out. Valheart quickly examines the droid before dashing forward using his Cane to leap forward. He uses his spider legs to dash behind the drone and take it down. A large burst of sparks breaks out as he slams the drone into the ground with the spike of the leg. He retracts the legs and looks at the lantern which was filling with sparks. He hears a rustle in the boxes near him when a short girl with brunette hair emerges

 

Valheart extends his spider legs as he looks at the little girl. "What're you here for?" Valheart spoke as the girl seemed to rustle in her pockets "I'm getting out of this bloody place what about ya ?" she spoke with a British accent "Are you a friend or are ya a foe?" the girl spoke as she walked side to side examining Valheart. Valheart kept his eyes on her. "It all depends on your actions here." He felt wind blow his trench coat forward as the walls behind him tumble. He takes a side step and flips over a counter.

Battle theme

A howl is heard as a cybernetic hound breaks in. The girl dashes behind a shelf. Examining as the hound targets onto Velheart. The hound jumps over the counter and Velheart sweeps around it extending his lantern to shock the beast. The hound keeps lunging as Valheart dodges the entourage of attacks using his quick mobility to his use.

"Lead him ove' er!" a females voice rang out. He quickly strikes the hound to draw its agro further and dashes across to a shelving unit. Glancing behind him he notices the hound was missing. He flicks his spider legs around himself blocking an attack from his side. Getting launched backwards into a shelf it tips and bottles slam to the ground. Red wine splatters the floor. He extends his hand and starts to laugh . He stands up sluggishly. His body twitches as the girl swoops around and breaks out through the ceiling striking the hound in the back of the head. Valheart dashes forward and uses his spider legs to chop the hounds legs clean off. He slams his foot onto the head of the hound and crushes it.

 

Valheart looks at the carcass of the hound "We're gonna need to get out of here." He takes out his pocket watch. "I'd say about thirty seven seconds before another hound comes" He kicks the hound and starts to move "Stop! You're forgetten somethan" Valheart turns around The girl points at the hound "Just leave the corpse. They'll show no care for it." The girl rolls her eyes. "Are you not gonna harvest it ?" She asks. "we don't have the time to dismantle it." Valheart starts to unhook a vent as the girl kicks the hound and stars fill the open air. The stars fly around her before going into her eye. She dashes ahead and vaults over the broken wall and dashes jumping from wall to wall in the alley way to another open space. While mid jump she looks down and sees two people arguing. She slides to a stop she waits for Valheart who was right behind her. She uses sign language to be quiet.

As she's signing the boar lets out a groaning sound. The drones start to grow viscous . One flies right near Cozbi reaches out and grabs it. She rams her knife into it and throws it in front of the two

She jumps down and scales on the building to land safely. Valheart keeps above like a crow before jumping to the wall and following .

"What an interesting time to meet hum ?" She twirls her knife around before bowing expresionless . "Sorry for the unwanted flight into your conversation. But we gotta group if we want to deal with that boar."

 

"If you think we brought it here you'd be wrong ya bloody twat." Gozbi lashed out. Valheart quickly uses his spider legs to crawl on the wall and land near the hound. He sends a kick around before striking it with his legs. He cracked at it a few times weakening it as the bricks start to crack and fall to the ground . He sweeps his spider leg around the group and slides to the side dodging a swarm of bricks. "That'll cause attention." He takes out a pocket watch and retracts his legs. "It's not gonna be long. It's 12:40 time is very important . We cannot stall. Shall we make the choice of running here and letting the town to rot, or fight the boar and die?"

 

Crashing is heard as a snake breaks the buildings down. Valheart quickly moves jumping from wall to wall rolling as he got onto a roof. Striking down Drones with his cane and spider legs throwing them around freely. Collecting the electricity. The buildings turn to rubble behind him as the snake nears. Looking over his should he sees Gozbi lacking behind. He slides to the right and swings around "GO!" He yells as he drops onto the snake cracking into it's skull. Raising his lantern he starts making an area of effect shock that breaks down drones refilling his lantern. Striking his cane into the snake he rides it as it drifts off. Barely leaving a scratch in it but luring it away he dashes off of it with his spider legs and crawls on the walls of the buildings. Breaking into a window finding a handgun. Grabbing it he dashes out another window finding Gozbi once more. Tossing her the handgun and keeps running. Turning his head around "Run to the fountain ! I got an idea!"

 

Sliding to a stall Valheart looks around . "We're gonna make that Snake crash into that boar. We need some range to be able to draw the agro and than slam it into the boar." He flicks a pouch up on his belt and takes out a little device. He grabs a rock and loads it into this device and readies his arm. He launches the rock at the Snake and the snake slithers at his at intense speeds. "The reason why we needed you here. . . Is to dance with it." He tosses rocks at all of the group for them to have ammo and throws out three more slingers.

"Run around and shoot it cause some chaos."
