Searching for Shinies!

Shiny hunting is an age-old test of patience. Though it takes a lot of time and effort, it will surely help you hone your skills in preparation for the battle against Kyurem.

Rules and Info

The goal is to hunt for shiny Pokémon in the Gen 6, 7, and 8 games!

-Only shinies caught during this event will be eligible.
-Shinies must be obtained through either catching or breeding. No trading, gift Pokémon, or guaranteed shinies.
-Shinies must be caught in one of the following games:

X/Y
Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire
Sun/Moon
Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon
Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee
Sword/Shield

-Reply to this thread with images of the shinies you've caught. These images must show the capture date.
-Keep all of your shinies in the same post. This will make it easier to tally your score later on.
-Points will be given based on the amount of shinies caught by each team. The person who catches the most shinies overall will also earn points.
-The use of emulators is not allowed. All shinies must be caught in legitimate copies of the games.

Prizes and Deadlines

1st Place — 250 Points
2nd Place — 200 Points
3rd Place — 150 Points

Highest shiny count (individual) - Bonus 25 points + Summer Scramble 2020 Winner's Medal

Participation: 10 Points + Summer Scramble 2020 Participation Medal

All entries must be submitted by 11:59pm EST on July 29th, 2020

Question: does this have to be in the real 3DS and/or Switch? Or will emulators do? I'm asking because all I have is a 3DS emulator, so...

I'm sorry, but we're only allowing shinies caught in legitimate copies of the games.

I'll participate in this event. I hope that I'll update this post with shinies, and that I won't not find any for the entire event.

Questions:

1) Are we limited to one Shiny of each species (such as with the wormhole hunting of 2018)?

2) Are Dynamax raids allowed for Shiny Hunting?

2) If raids are allowed, if we find a Shiny Raid in our own game, are we allowed to share them with team members?

You are allowed to catch more than one of the same species. I'd prefer if you didn't hunt exclusively for one species of Pokémon, though.

Dynamax raids are allowed, and you can share them with your team.

I went to the friend safari and this is literally the first thing I found. POG

I did one of those hoard shiny hunts and I got this in the first hoard. I got so lucky today.

It took me time to figure it out, but here's my first shiny. I hope it counts, because I went and did the stupid thing and was in such a rush that I forgot to save my game before quitting it, so guess who doesn't have another chance at getting a picture of this guy?
